A wonderful, grand hotel in the best traditions of the early 1900's. Bed was especially comfortable and the food-- wow!

This hotel is exceptional. It is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The walls are solid, so we couldn't hear anything from other rooms or the hallway. Very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at this hotel with a great promotional rate. It was like going back in time where the bellman still takes your luggage after being greeted with valet parking. It was very nice in a great location downtown Dallas near everything and anything. Can't wait to stay again.

Before all the people who know the history of the property, guests and staff, die off, research and publish a book(let) with the detailed history of the property. I would like to know things like whether the lobby elevators were original, converted from human operators to automatice? Where was the front desk originally located and the original configuration of the lobby? Why did you get rid of the drug store where the infomal restraunt is now located? Details on the various entertainers who performed at the hotel and why you finally closed the night club or night club style entertainment space? It would be nice to have the specifics on some of the better original works of art displayed. Also would enjoy reading about various famous guests who stayed with you? If you have already done this and I just missed it, please send me a copy. I will be glad to pay for it.

Once a year I travel to Dallas for a business/pleasure combination trip and there is only one place to stay, The Adolphus. Staying at this hotel is just an exquisite experience. The staff, rooms, facilities, personal assistance and dining are all a cut above. If you are use to a first class stay, you will not be disappointed here but that is just the basic yummy cake; wait till you add the icing. From breakfast at the Bistro (I am back in France) to the afternoon tea (that even husbands enjoy and I have dragged him to the best) through the fine dining experience of the French Room, everything is perfect. No matter how many visits I have enjoyed here the WOW factor indicator still goes off the gauge. The architecture of the Adolphus alone is breathtaking. It is one of Dallas' diamonds.

The Adolphus is most definitely an "old school" hotel that earns its reputation with fine service and an elegant atmosphere. the public areas of the hotel are reminiscent of an English estate, the rooms, are very nice and well decorated but beginning to show a bit of age - nothing major - just an observation. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
If you prefer a classic, "old school" luxury hotel over the trendy, flashy type, you'll be very happy at the Adolphus. P.S. the free Internet is a nice feature as so many hotels charge an arm and a leg for access.
