My wife and I stayed at the Apolphus for two nights. We went to a concert a few miles away and celebrated our anniversary with a dinner at Tthe French Room on-site. We were greeted very warmly. While the hotel is a glimpse back at old-money opulence, the staff is not stuffy at all. Everyone was friendly. The rooms are quite large for a downtown property and very comfortable.
The French Room provided us with a memorable, though expectedly pricey, anniversary splurge meal. The food was and service were both just spot-on and the wine was perfect. Overall, a great little getaway.
