Who posted the hotel can use update. Yes it’s somewhat outdated but the rooms are kept clean. I love it has a Starbucks in the lobby and the staff are very friendly. Even the automated self parking garage lady speaks friendly and welcomes you enthusiastically.
This hotel earned a star for its prompt response to my report of noisy guests next room. I checked in close to midnight and was very tired but I was kept awake because of the loud guests next room. Within minutes of me reporting, I heard a knock on the next door with “skuuurridy” and that was the end of noise and I was able to get a good night sleep. Thank you!

Stayed at the hotel for work purposes. The hotel is perfectly clean and comfortable, but dated and worn here and there. The styles seem to be all over the place. Anyway, the service was really good, as was the food for in-room dining. The location is what you'd expect for suburban Dallas, a 10 minute walk along unattractive streets to chain restaurants is about as good as it gets. If a conference you are attending is booked into this hotel, don't worry, it's all fine. But if you have a choice, there are probably several other options nearby that are a bit more up to date.

Just the facts:
The hotel is in a convenient location to shopping, businesses and restaurants.
Maid Service - my stay was for 2 nights, room was only "made up" one night
Marriott Lounge - not at this location
Gym - equipment out of order
Elevators - being serviced and very loud in my room
Management - never responded to my letter regarding poor service or room issues
Restaurant - ate there for breakfast and lunch, food was decent and staff is excellent
Front Desk - staff are very pleasant

The staff are great but they can't make up for a hotel that is tired and not well kept.

Room tip: Do not choose a room by the elevators

The hotel is in a nice location with a great selection of restaurants and entertainment. The reviews I read prior to booking were pretty accurate in that the hotel is older and in need of some updates. The most notable was the extremely loud clanging in the elevator shafts. All night long. All day long. I brought it up to the front desk staff at checkout and there was no explanation or apology. Horrible night sleep and we were not even near the elevator so they have to know about it.

Food for our group of 200+ from Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church was excellent, presented by Renaissance chef on staff: lovely salad with house dressing, stuffed chicken breast with garlic potatoes, and cheesecake for dessert.
Cash bar was brought into the ballroom for those wanting wine and beer. Wait staff were also excellent, serving us all unobtrusively and quickly in the newly renovated ballroom. A few of our party spent the night at the hotel and thought it was lovely. The event was a fundraiser for an England/Scotland choir trip. New items were bid in both a silent and public auctions. The event was Feb. 9, 2019 from 6p-10p. Parking was free for the registered guests.
