We visited the Residence Inn Dallas Market Center while on a weekend visit to Dallas/Fort Worth.

The hotel is easy to find just off of I-35E northbound. It is 5 minutes away from downtown with no rush hour traffic.

The rooms are nice - ours was a king bedroom with a pull out couch in the living room area. We enjoyed the room and it's easy proximity to the lobby. Parking is gated and you need a key card to enter. While I'm sure bad people could still zip in behind you - it is better than nothing. We our room faced I 35 and I could hear some traffic noise, but it did not bother us and we slept great. The only slight disappointment I had is more a testament to our changing expectations of hotel rooms. The TV in the bedroom was fairly small and square. There was a larger TV in the living room area. Wah. (not a big deal really)

Breakfast was nice and similar to others in the brand. It was tasty and had what we needed. If you show up about 1/2 hour or 45 mins prior to the end of breakfast it is possible some things will be out - the attendants do their best to refill them quickly but sometimes the group eats and drinks faster than they can keep up. This is not unusual either, but they do have two people working to restock, so things refill fairly quickly.

Overall it is a very nice hotel convenient to downtown. If there is a downside it would be that there is not really any restaurants or attractions within walking distance, but it is a nice place to stay and drive to your next stop!

Room Tip: May want to avoid rooms facing the highway - was not an issue for us though.

This hotel is located right on the highway and the traffic is so loud. We were put on the side that sits facing highway it was so loud you could hear inside the room. Didn't get much sleep between the traffic noise and sirens! I did request early check-in and did get that . I asked if I could switch rooms away from highway thinking early enough in the day to get that. They told me sold out hotel already at 1:45 pm. Rooms were a mix of updates and old furniture. The hotel was not completely remodeled in 2015 as it stated. We had the oldest dishwasher in our room and old cabinets. Not a complete remodel, but some updates. Walls dirty and could use a good deep cleaning !! The TV's were tiny! The breakfast was good a nice variety! 3 hot items to choose from. Your typical oatmeal, cereals, waffles, bagels, wheat bread, English muffins, yogurt. No muffins or doughnuts. I liked that they offered soy milk since I don't drink milk. All in all okay for a 1 night stay. You'd be sleep deprived if you stayed longer!! Pool is not heated so I doubt it gets used at all!

Room Tip: Away from highway! section 6-7 on highway you will not get sleep!

Ms. Christine,

Thank you for your comments we appreciate your feedback. I will share your comments with the team to ensure this is a isolated issues. I do understand your frustration being in a room where your couldn't get much sleep we are replacing windows on that side that are sound proof. Once again thank you.

I have stayed at quite a few Residences. This one is well kept, clean and has a nice decor in the rooms. No over powering cleaners or odors. The happy hour is a little strange. Red beans and rice, French bread, cheese, taco chips and beer!! Parking is all around the buildings making it difficult to find the suite. All in all a decent hotel.

Check in was easy. Arrived in the room and after 30 minutes found ants in the kitchen and bathroom. Front desk moved us to a room next door. No mentioned of reducing the price for the one night stay. Room was located opposite a highway so did not have a good night sleep on account of truck traffic.

The space was comfortable a bit dated and could have used some sprucing up but it was super comfortable and quiet despite it being the week of New Years Eve. Breakfast was good. Pool outside so it was of no use. The housekeeping the spottiest of all the services. We had to call to get toilet paper.

Room Tip: Get a room that does not face the freeway.
