Dallas Marriott Suites Medical/Market Center
Ranked #50 of 207 Hotels in Dallas

I stayed at this hotel many times over the past two years, with the latest being Feb 2010. The rooms are VERY large, spacious suites with excellent layout, 2 flatscreens, large fridge, microwave upon request (<5 min delivery), coffee maker, luxurious bed & bedding. Quiet & dark with blackout blinds. Large windows otherwise.
Lobby is modern, attractive & well-furnished; bar area is the same. Brennan the bartender knows his trade! Excercise facility is super; breakfast is not cheap but is among the best.
Location is great, relative to restaurants on Cedar Springs, Lemmon, McKinney, Oak Lawn, Knox/Henderson or downtown - all are w/in 15 minutes. Katy trail is also 12 minutes away. Only negative: round the hotel is nothing, so if you want to take a stroll, better drive to Katy Trail or do so on one of the 4 treadmills in the health facility (or 2 bikes, mats, free weights, machines & 7 TVs). The fresh 'fruit water' in the lobby can quench your thirst.

We stayed overnight for a flight connection, and it was beyond our expectations. The suite had 2 enormous flat screen TVs (one in the lounge, one in the bedroom)! Fully stocked fridge/bar and coffee maker were appreciated.

The staff were very friendly, and very helpful in helping us find a restaurant downtown. The hotel also runs a free shuttle service to restaurants in a 5 mile radius, which was most welcome!

It is located just next to I-35, but for us it made it easier to get from the airport, get to where we needed to be, and get back to the airport the next day.

We would stay here again if passing through.

From the minute we checked in to our check out, we were pleased with everything about this hotel. The rooms are spacious, well-designed, clean and fresh. Both the sitting area and bedroom had large flatscreen TV (which made my husband very happy!). A wet bar with small refrigerator are included in suite. We had lots of activities every day but alsways arrived back at our hotel happy for the peaceful setting and our comfortable room & bed. We used many of the services including room service, breakfast in the restaurant, the lobby bar, the fitness center & the complimentary shuttle. Everything was in good order. In the fitness center they even managed to have headsets for the treadmills, water, a boom box for music, magazines, towels, etc. Every detail and need had been considered. Food was good both from room service and restaurant (breakfast). Shuttle driver took us to dinner as well as to another hotel. Service was friendly and efficient. They could not have been more accomodating and this was busy New Year's Eve/Cotton Bowl weekend. Highly recommend! Excellent value. Thanks Dallas Marriott Suites!

Booked two-bed suite on hotel's own site for under $100. Unlike the picture which showed the bedroom as a separate room, ours was just a large room with a separate living area...not my definition of a "suite," but very nice nevertheless. Very comfortable beds (full, not queen), fridge, huge flat-screen TV, marble bathroom with quality toiletries. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Although there are few eateries nearby, I would be delighted to stay there again in the future.

I've stayed at the Marriott Market Suites a couple of times on business, and always really enjoy it there. Staff are excellent - very efficient and friendly, and check-in took no more than a couple of minutes. Suites are fantastic - big sitting room with sofa and comfy chairs, big plasma TV, desk and chair for working, and a little kitchenette (with fridge, coffee maker etc), and then a big bedroom with another huge plasma, massive comfy bed, and a few nice touches like a clock radio with iPod dock. Decent sized bath and shower, and excellent air con (which is really important in Dallas!) complete the facilities.

Bar has a good selection of local beers, and the bar-staff are friendly and chatty. Breakfast is the usual great Marriott standard - large buffet selection and cooked-to-order omelette bar. Again, the staff are outstanding - by the 3rd morning, the waitress was bringing me coffee and juice and was asking if I wanted my "usual breakfast"!

The hotel was refurbed a couple of years ago, and it's immaculate. It's also very handy for the American Airlines Center - I took in a couple of hockey games, and it's a $10 taxi ride away.

I'll definitely stay here again on my next business trip, and wouldn't hesitate to bring the family here for a holiday, too.

I stayed here three times in September 2009 and have enjoyed being there every time. I would agree with other reviewers that the location is very poor and the side access road is one-way so it is a pain to get to it. It is right next to 35 so this makes it easy to get to downtown Dallas within 10 minutes. They have a very flexible shuttle service and can take you within a 5 mile radius for free so this is helpful. I do like the cleanliness of the rooms and the relatively quiet atmosphere. Some of the rooms have very old A/C systems that can make a lot of noise so watch out. They have a pretty good business rate which includes the internet and breakast restaurant options in addition to the conceirge lounge. Microwaves are complimentary here so this is nice.

There are a couple of things I have found a little annoying about this hotel. First of all, the breakfast options are among the worst of Marriott options I have ever seen. Although there is a restaurant and a conceirge lounge, the breakfast options never change and are usually always cold. I also found the omelette station to be low on ingredients and quality of cooking. They advertise having a better conceirge lounge than it really is. There are never newspapers or magazines as advertised for the lounge and it is not open 24x7 like you would expect it to be. Newspapers are not delivered by default to your room so you must ask for this in order to get it.

Overall, I will stay there again but I am tempted to try other hotels in the area too.
