We visited the Kennedy museum in downtown Dallas with a European friend recently. It was quite crowded, but the photographs, audio tour and other attractions were interesting and wide-ranging. It would be particularly interesting to those among us who are too young to remember the actual event or were born after the Kennedy assassination and have never read the Warren Commission report or otherwise studied the event and the period. Recommended.

Looking at Dealey Plaza and the exact location JFK was was shot and then going up to the 6th floor window where the shots were fired is witnessing a moment in modern American history. The museum admission includes headphones that narrates the events leading up to that fatal moment. Much of Dealey Plaza has been left intact. The X on the road marks where the president was hit.

Dealey Plaza is awesome, as is looking out a sixth floor window at the assassination site. The seventh floor only has magazine covers of JFK throughout the decades and is not as impressive as the rest of the site. Despite that, it is overall well worth the time to visit.

This museum brings back childhood memories of the 1960's. Each exhibit is clear, strong and helpful. It is a ver important part of US history.
