I was only 3 years old when Kennedy was assassinated but I have seen to news reel footage many times over as I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I have seen the movies, read the books and heard all the conspiracy theories.
I was visiting from the UK and went down to the scene of the crime, there are a couple of "x's" maked on the road where 2 of the shots hit the Presidential limo and the snipers nest is faithfully recreated on the 6th floor. It is really spooky to look out and see what the gunman would have seen. The Museum itself does a great job via new reel and pictorial evidence from the time to set the scene, telling you all about the whole era, how the visit and open limo parade were last minute decisions.

If you are in Dallas this place is a must see

Unmissable, to actually stand next to the spot where he was shot from, all of the displays, information - this place is very moving and much more emotional then expected. It was amazing to be there and learn so much more then I thought I already knew. Not much else happening in Dallas but worth the trip just to do this.

Visiting the Depository really brought back all those memories from that fateful day in November 1963. Every American alive at that time should visit this historic site as it takes you through the events from Lee Harvey Oswald to Jack Ruby. JFK was a very important President and he changed many lives.

I really enjoyed going to this piece of history! If you go anywhere in Dallas, this is a must. The audio tour was very informative and I wish more places had that as an option when visiting. I was only in second grade when JFK was killed, but I remember watching everything on TV. The only thing that was disappointing to me was the gift shop.

This was a worth while visit on our short stay in Dallas. A well presented attraction of photographs, film footage, wall boards which were all explained by the use of headphones. Finish it off by going up to the 7th floor where you can get a good view from above the suspected window used.. Enjoyable.
