Turned out to be a great joint hidden behind a bathtub in the woods! Who'd-a-thought? Being the snobs that we are we'd avoided this place until a friend recommended. Almost hate to share this hidden gem. Took the grandkids and their friends one Sunday nite. Unless it's fast-food they grumble, but they loved the kid-friendly playground, football on the big screen, and the good food. A bit pricey, but high-quality. Fries and rings fresh cut (not frozen, my pet peeve), burgers one of the best we've had. Would rate excellent if char-broiled instead of flat-topped grilled, but the smoke might entice all of Cypress and then we couldn't get in the parking lot! Watch out for "heartburn city" as burgers are "loaded" with black pepper and garlic. All-in-all a good place, but let's keep it among ourselves.

As soon as we got out of the car, the smell was a great sign of what we were about to experience. The setting was warm and welcoming, literally like someone's back yard. Our waiter was attentive, had good recommendations and kept us entertained. He informed us they were 1 cook short and it would be taking a little longer than usual. We had no problem and waited - it wasn't very long but we really appreciated the heads up and his attitude.

We tried the brisket fries - yummy and enough for 4 people! We also tried the 5 napkin burger and the 1836. Both very good and full of flavor! The 5 napkin had a little kick to it. We tried a couple of beers and enjoyed a breezy September Friday night ❤️

There's 18 hamburgers, 3 types of chicken sandwiches and a turkey sandwich to chose from as well a several types of fries, onion strings, etc.

Our waitress said she has eaten everything on the menu, but since this was our first visit she recommended the "Cooter Jack", a large smashed patty of outstanding beef on an incredible Jalapeno Cheddar toasted bun with Jack cheese, smokey BBQ sauce, chipotle mayo, topped with onion strings. It was something beyond special along with the side of "Rusty Nails" (sweet potato fries).

It would be very hard to try something different, but all the other burgers sound terrific as well...

i confess, this review is dated as we ate here in 2012. Mainly outdoor eating, burgers were very good. Some odd selections for add ons. We plan to go back when the jeans aren't so tight. A bit of a struggle on parking sometimes.

I didn't know this place was right down the street from my home. The burgers are amazing and the buns are stellar!
