Was just a random pick when driving south on 45

Rooms were spacious and very clean, beds very comfortable and appreciated the free Internet

Breakfast was weak just not good

Overall I would say this is a good hotel but I don't think I can justify the $110 per night + taxes they were demanding. If I wasn't absolutely exhausted at the time I would've kept driving to south Houston but if you have to stay up in the Woodlands I would say this was one of the better hotels off I-45

This hotel is very new and everything is modern and clean, and NO animal smell, which is a very nice thing when staying an entire week in the hotel. There are 2 fail points though that I just have to deduct stars for because they matter. 1) This is a hotel carrying the FairField Marriott name. As such there are certain amenities that have to be of a certain quality and character. Towels and TP are two of those things. Non-fluffy towels and rough TP gets you a star deducted when you print Marriott on the sign and think it's okay to be a little cheap because the area isn't exactly a thriving metropolis. Let's face it, Conroe is a little country, but I brought my standards with me from the big city so cater to me and my tastes, not the local's. 2) Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the one being offered here scared the begebees out of me. I'm still not sure what was wrapped on the breakfast sausage (if that's what it was) and the instant eggs made from powder...well, again, the Marriott name is getting cheaper by the second. Unfortunately I don't think the manager of this hotel is very cultured. Have they actually tasted the coffee they are serving? Some things just have to have standards. As I said though, the hotel is clean, modern, well kept. The hallways aren't airconditioned for some reason, but the a/c in the rooms was fine. You feel safe and it's a decent location that should see some future growth around it. If you can dodge the breakfast bar and run over to Kroger for some Charmin you should be good to go.

Room Tip: Maybe you don't want a room facing the back...it overlooks a cemetery, but on the up-side it'...

The hotel is about a year old. This means all features are new & in excellent shape. Bed was very comfortable & AC was perfect. Only thing I might could complain is the showerhead was one of those high pressure water savers. ( not a fan ) but everything else was excellent in room. I would mention currently if you are driving to hotel from south on I 45 exit one exit early ! I believe it's exit 89.. The road construction on I45 has closed the exit that maps say to use. We could not hear any noise from construction in hotel. Buffet looked great but only had time to grab a yogurt. There was eggs/sausage etc. overall good stay @ would use same hotel again

Great property. This hotel is newer, and sits back off 45 a good way, I had a room facing the highway, & no noise issues. There is a bank next door, shops & restaurants are a long walk (short drive) across a field. Traffic is not an issue. Room was great, best nights sleep in a hotel. Mattress and pillows were awesome! Interior is very inviting, corridors are well-insulated. Fitness room had ample equipment. Breakfast had great selection. Wonderful stay!

Just a great choice for me. Being in Texas by myself and having a lot of choices this one worked out best... it seemed newer and was really clean. The breakfast was one of the better i have had a this type of hotel. And the lady that took care of all -- gosh, i wish i asked her name, was just so caring of everyone... and it was really clean! Anyway she alone made my stay... just to see her in action care taking those that needed it and offering to help even when it was not asked for... she saw a need and jumped to help. Maybe that's what they call Texan Hospitality... but, she seemed to really be true in her care... just lovely.

As a comparison i stayed at a Comfort Inn & Suites off the 45 and at FM 1960 neaar The Woodlands -- yeah it was cheaper -- but, man i would have paid the extra $30 bucks to stay at the Farfield again. Oh yeah -- pls do not stay at this Comfort Inn ... it was really dissapointing, cheap sheets like sand paper and the carpet had that carpet deoderizer in it... smelled to high hell -- yuck!

Oh for the Fairfield -- do indeed price check and get the applicable discounts as they will definitely try to get by the higher rate from you. AAA was a good rate.

Again -- to have a perspective on me and my opinion -- i have stayed in dumps, stayed in the best, flown first to Europe and not so First... the Fairfiled here was just perfect for the location and my needs.

Room Tip: If you are on the back side and away form I-45 it may be quieter ... i had a room on the bottom floo...

We stayed three nights in this lovely, comfortable little suite. The hotel is only 8 months old, so it was spic & span clean with absolutely no odors. The furnishings were very nice and the sophisticated color scheme and accessories were a delightful surprisel. The mattress top and pillows were feathers and down -- so good that we have already placed an order for the pillows -- best night's sleep in a hotel EVER. Good hot & cold breakfast selections in a spacious dining room, plus you could eat outside on the patio if you wanted. The fitness center offered strength and aerobic equipment, but it lacked fans, The pool, unfortunately, was right by the parking lot, so you felt like you were on display.
