“Great family vacation”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

Just finished my stay here at the cabins, and my family loved it. We stayed in cabin 15 and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The wall of windows really lets you enjoy the view of the river.
The river is approximately 70 yards from the back porch of the cabin, with a volleyball area, a 2 seat swing set, and a half court basketball area. There is also an attractive swimming pool on property that we enjoyed during our stay. The river was at average level during our stay and had various depths that ranges 4-5" to up to 2' in some isolated areas, in the section of river adjacent to the cabin property, which was perfect for my toddlers. For my teenager, we enjoyed kayaking and floating the river, this area was a popular drop off area for all of the surrounding vacationers. All equipment was rented at the main office, or can be rented by other places in the area (other places offer shuttle service so keep cash on you while floating the river).

TIPS:
#1The nearest superstore was located in Uvalde (30 miles from the cabin). Probably a good idea to stock up before getting there.
#2 we lost cell phone service 20 min before arriving (Verizon service), so its a good ideas to do some research of other things in the area before getting there i.e. print maps. The wifi was unreliable during our stay, and when I was able to connect, Pandora was a little too much for it but hey, it was free.

I have stayed here maybe 7 times over several years. Before and after the great new cabins.
I love breakfast lunch or dinner at Neal's and dinner at Mac and Ernie's in Tarpley.
I have been to 49 states and 45 countries, and this is heaven on earth. Dark skies!!!
If you can get there on offseason weekdays (or even some weekends) you can really have it to yourself.
Their website makes it easy to pick your cabin and book.
I still love some of the old ones, like #3, although the big new ones are spectacular.

Room Tip: Study the map. Deer etc inhabit the huge sloping lawn between the new cabins and the river. Love th...

We love this place can't wait to go back. Everyone that works here are all so friendly and helpful. It is well organized an very clean. We stayed 3 nights in an RV and didn't want to leave. We saw so many deer and turkeys. The deer came within about 15 feet of our RV. It was like being in a wildlife park. Waking up to that view of the bluff every morning was priceless! The Frio river was gorgeous too. All the cabins looked neat and tidy. We checked out the other places to stay in the area and 7 Bluffs was by far the best looking . You have space not crammed in. We are planning a trip in May to go back.

We decided to get away for the last part of the holiday weekend. Despite the weather being cooler, the location and amenities of these cabins are fantastic. We have a 4 and 8 year old and both had more than plenty to do on the property - they loved the river and the property is spacious and beautiful. The cabin itself is perfect - we were in #12 - nice, well stocked kitchen, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and nice bonus to have satellite TV upstairs and down. We loved this place and plan to visit again many times. Don't miss Garner State Park nearby - its fantastic.
(make sure to bring paper towels and an extra towel for the kitchen!).

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for one of the cabins close to the river - the sound of the falls is great - #12...

What a beautiful spot on the Frio River! We stayed in the River House and it was all that we could have hoped for in accommodations. Plenty of room, clean, best view of the river and 7 bluff. Folks here treat you like family and we will definitely be coming back!

Room Tip: Lots of sizes and prices to choose from!

I stayed here in November of 2012. It was great. The pecan trees are awesome ! There are endless pecans to pick up and take home. The deer were amazing, every night at dusk there would be at least 40-50 deer grazing the property. The Frio River is beautiful and lives up to it's name. Overall the property was amazing!

This was our 5th time to the reunion and 4th stay at 7Bluffs, having stayed in the cabins before we decided to drag the RV and stay in the camping area. It was just as good as the cabins, friendly campers, and staff and quiet at nite. We really enjoyed the pool this year and saw dozens of deer and Turkeys. If you want to stay where your like family this is it! We'll be staying in a cabin again after the 9.9 mpg with the camper LOL.;>)
