My husband and I stayed one night at Hotel Faust to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We were on our way to Fredericksburg. After staying at this hotel/B&B I do wish we would have planned to stay more nights here in Comfort. I can't say enough good things about Hotel Faust. Completely remodeled historic hotel in downtown Comfort. The decor is beautiful and comfortable; a shabby chic look. The historic attributes have been well preserved. Chris, one of the owners, was super friendly and provided wonderful service (and his pancakes in the morning are absolutely the BEST). Upon checkin, Chris upgraded us to the Gorman Cabin. It totally exceeded all my expectations. (There is a wood burning fireplace in this cabin, as well as a bathtub large enough to seat two comfortably) We will definitely be back! (next time we will stay longer!)

Room Tip: The Gorman cabin was VERY charming ~ woodburning fireplace, tub is large enough to fit 2 comfortably...

The bed and breakfast has an old world charm. The hotel is nicely remodeled. The gazebo at the center of the courtyard was a great place to hang out with friends. The breakfast was excellent along with the service. I would definately stay here again.

Comfort Texas is a surprise in itself. Several exceptional historic structures, including this B&B. Facilities have been upgraded to a modern esthetic and comfort while preserving the historic attributes. Service was truly wonderful. They made you feel like a old friend come to visit. This is a great resting point for touring the Texas Hill Country and for vineyard hopping. There are a number of room options, but we stayed in the main building since I have an interest in historic structures. Very tall ceilings, authentic details and finishes, well appointed. We were on the first floor and could occasionally hear foot trafiic above, but that was not a big problem. There are more isolated rooms in the carriage house, and 2 cottages.

This historic hotel has been completely remodeled in downtown Comfort, TX. Our three night stay was so enjoyable. We stayed in the Ingenhuett Log Cabin, which was like stepping back in time with the old log walls and brick floor.
The owners and property manager were the best. Friendly, fun and a joy to speak with. The morning breakfast was excellent!
The hotel is set in historic downtown Comfort which made walking to area shops and restaurants an added attraction.

While attending a friends wedding in Comfort, My partner and I had the fabulous experience to stay at the Hotel Faust. The Bistro next door has a pork chop dinner that you will rave about. Sitting out on the hotel grounds at night looking up at the stars is so peaceful and relaxing. Your morning breakfast is served to you in the Carriage house as if you have your own personal chef. The town is cute and fun and you will never go hungry, everything is within a few steps. It's on our list to go back this Fall. If you get the chance as we did, PJ at the front desk makes a chocolate covered peanut butter cake ball that is so darn good, you can't just eat one.

I was lucky enough to stay at this adorable B&B for a night, absolutely loved it, and was sad to leave the next day!

The room was spacious, clean, had local flair and attention to detail was spot on. The bed was one thing that if I could take him home, I would have done - so comfortable! Our group of friends were provided very rich and tasty breakfast, with excellent service and smiles all around :) While these things made my stay enjoyable, my warmest congratulations must go to the hotel owners, Kevin and Chris!! They really know how to really make you feel at home, and if you need anything it is like asking a family member. They helped us make connections at local eateries & wineries, and are well known and respected around Comfort.

Congratulations from the heart, you were fantastic!!!

I recently travelled to the Texas Hill Country from Washington, DC with a few close friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Faust, a BEAUTIFUL B&B located in the city’s center. The B&B has been completely renovated with meticulous attention to detail, which gives the hotel a luxury feeling even though the rates are very reasonable. The owners, Kevin and Chris, were extremely hospitable, visited with the group and even helped us with reservations at some of the most delicious dinner locales and wineries in the area – just a few short minutes drive from the hotel.

Comfort is an antique shoppers retreat and the community is true to the Texan spirit. The residents are friendly, will greet you with a smile and strike up a conversation given the opportunity. My partner, who has travelled to TX a few times and never experienced the TX hospitality, noted on a few occasions the warmth, welcome and Comfort he felt during our stay :-)

Tip – be sure not to miss breakfast – served on weekends. Kevin and Chris are mini celebrities in the area and the blackberry pancakes flipped by Chris may just be the reason… :-)
