The food is outstanding here--we've eaten here many times over the years. The quail appetizer and the crab cake are especially tasty. Don't expect giant American-style portions, but you'll leave satisfied. I have to take points off for the lack of ambience and the truly harsh overhead lighting--not terribly romantic unless you sit at one of the two-tops in the windows.

The food and service in this restaurant rivals a big city gormet restaurant... The City of Comfort is lucky to have this delightful place to eat - the service , the food, the location - Loved it all! I can hardly wait til the next time I visit!

What a gem of a restaurant. Very small (I would recommend reservations) but this small restaurant in the heart of the historic district in Comfort is exceptional. Simple elegant menu with great dal specials. Highly recommened.

Huge lumps of crab meat barely held together but beautifully and lightly sauteed - beyond just delicious. A Bandera Quail so delicate and tasty; lightly dressed greens fresh and crisp. Chilled white wine - splendid service.
