Saturday evening, 3 tired people in the car, and no idea where to go on the way to Houston from San Antonia to have a great dining experience and a glass of wine. We got off in Columbus and looked for the restaurant with the most cars; Nancy's Steak House was the one. Service was excellent, food was copious and outstanding, the salad bar was fresh and extensive: lots of blue cheese and almonds among a large variety of other things. We had the filet mignon kabobs, 8 ounces of cooked just right to order filet with vegetables that filled a large platter. Took home another meal each because we couldn't finish...and for $13.95! Free ice cream cones as you leave, if you want. Wine--selection was limited but the merlot was good. Friend's gin and tonic was excellent, she said. Just south of I-10 on business 71. I'll definitely stop again.
