Description: Our menu feels familiar without being common, offering delicious flavors and variety at a great value. We focus on doing things consistently and exceptionally well. We make our own tender mozzarella and hand cut our steaks and fish. Our pizza is hand-tossed, and we make all of our gelato in-house. Our large variety of affordable Napa Valley and California wines are available either by the bottle or glass. Wine on tap allows us to provide wine-by-the-bottle quality by individual glass, served at the perfect temperature to enhance the taste.

A Family and Friends outing. The facility is located at an excellent intersection on Texas Avenue (the main drag), about a mile from the TAMU campus and about the same from the city's shopping mall, as well as Highway 6. There is ample parking as the building is bordered by the parking lot for the strip mall that is behind it. Access is easy.

The place was full and active but not noisy. The service was excellent, the manager of the facility, who (I am told) used to preside at the Outback up the street, makes it a point to stop off and chat with each table.

One of the nice touches was the bottled water standing ready at the table with ice in the glasses when our party was first seated. The Napa Flats menu tends toward the healthy selections. the selections are not as vast as some of the other franchises, but with our large party we tried a wide variety of the dishes and all were pleased. The pizzas are great; the swordfish was excellent; the steaks were also excellent. We did receive one poorly shaped filet (the end of the tenderloin) which should not have made it to our table. It was sent back and the manager came over to take responsibility and apologize as the replacement was cooked.

Deserts were also quite good, the gelato is extremely creamy and delicious.

For the prices this is a very good value when considering the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere. With appetizers, alcohol, desserts, and a generous tip the meal came to around $45 per person.

With this high quality of service and a strong menu selection (and good food) I can see us returning here.

I love the wood fire grilled pizza. The Paolo Alto dip is completely addictive and they have a good wine selection. The ambiance is delightful and we go here for casual special occasions. Great stuff.

I wanted to like this restaurant because of the appealing ambiance, but was very disappointed in the food. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and it was a tasteless sauce with meatballs that tasted like cafeteria food. Ugh.
On the positive side, the gelato was good.

Ate here with family during a move from San Antonio. Great Mediterranean platter and Tomato Bisque. Wide variety with lots of healthy choices along with richer options. Desserts were great as well as a first rate cappuccino. They've done a great job with the outdoor seating area giving it good atmosphere even though it is next to a strip shopping center parking lot. They had a call ahead seating option which negated our wait on a busy Saturday night. We really enjoyed our meal and Sam A. was a great waitress. Highly recommend.
