“Great que - worth the wait”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

Had the brisket. Very good and juicy. The cole slaw and beans were very good too. Limited parking. There is a public parking lot 2 blocks east. Worth the walk. Seating is limited inside

“Best Ribs in BCS”
Reviewed February 14, 2011

Best ribs hands down of any BBQ joint in BCS. Get there early as they sell out very quickly. They are very juicy and the sauce compliments the meat nicely.

Brisket is very good as well although the portions on sandwiches and plates is pretty small for the price. Sausage and pulled pork is good but again, very small portions handed out here.

Chopped beef is not good--- looks and tastes like something right out of the can........very chewy and drenched in too much sauce. It doesnt even resemble the brisket that is served. "Chunks" of beef that are pretty chewy and tasteless. My first thoughts were that they were using meat other than brisket they were cooking on the premises.

No french fries/onion rings and very few condiments given, whereas most BBQ places feature these items. Cole slaw is really, really bad.....reminds me of slaw in north carolina.....tastes like vinegar. There is no "snap and crunch" when you eat it......kind of like eating mush. When asked about it, they said their supplier was going to be changed and a different slaw would be purchased. So far same old slaw.....bad.

Service is very slow as most of the time the bartender is the waiter/server as well. Atmosphere is ok, but expect lots of flies buzzing around when the large garage type doors are opened. Nice patio area but noisy since the restaurant sits next to a major intersection. To compensate for the outside noise the jazz style music inside is turned up way too loud and competes with the large screen TVs programs.

This place has lots of potential but some items on the menu need to be fixed quickly. Portion sizes, prices and service really need to be worked on.

I only go here for the delicious ribs.....when they have them.
