“Ummmm.....Why is this place here?”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

Maybe people who have never really tasted Chines/Thai food think this place is OK, but they are very wrong. The place is univiting to say the least, but we were ordering our food to go, so the atmosphere was not very important.

We ordered some basic items & were hoping for a decent meal based on the reviews we read here. That isn't what we got.

The"fried rice" was nothing more than white rice drenched in soy sauce. The wonton soup was inedible & the rest was so bad that I can't even remember what it was, because it all got dumped in the trash. Save your money & bring your appetite elsewhere.

“Good Thai dishes on mostly chinese menu”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

Do not be discouraged by the unprepossessing exterior or even by the (possible) lack of other diners. There are good Thai dishes to be had here -- e.g., good Thai-type curries and good Pad Thai -- although most of the menu items are Chinese-type dishes. The locals who came in when we were there mostly order chicken or beef or port fried rice. So it obviously makes sense for the Thai Kitchen to offer these types of items. But, again, it's a pleasant place with friendly service and better Asian food than one would expect in a small-ish Texas town. Also, the meal was incredibly cheap.

“PROS AND CONS”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

PROS: This place is like the Thai Basil in Aztec,NM in that we did not expect such good Thai food in a small town.
The cook is from Laos but she can produce excellant Thai.
CONS: Decor is a little tired.
