The Hyatt Lost Pines provided a TON of activities for the kids AND kep the adult busy too (with the lazy river and the bar!). The resort is gorgeous, rooms are nice, food (ESPECIALLY Major Neighbors Grill - fabulous scallops). The biggest plus is the SERVICE. The staff was amazing even with the resort being completely full with July 4 vactioners. We watched a movie on the lawn each night which was a great family way of ending a busy day. We will be visiting again at Chrismas!

Thank you for you positive feedback about our service and amenities. We're thrilled to hear you're coming back for Christmas. we have visited lost pines multiple times. the pool area is fabulous and the kids activities are very enjoyable. one really nice touch for families is the laundry machines on each floor that are free. horses, live animal interactions, hiking trails, biking and movies on the lawn after roasting smores outside...what is not to love? turns out it is the food and the service in those areas.

i don't understand how the hyatt can employ so many nice people in the other areas and really struggle with the restaurants. the food is usually salty and luke warm and the kids food is even worse. trying to get service in the food areas is also difficult where staff are standing together talking about what they are doing later or laughing while telling jokes. they seem offended when asked for simple things like a refill on water or a menu. the other areas of the hotel have staff who go out of their way to look for ways to help.

that said, we love to go there and it is a great weekend trip for families. i would not go there without children because it is really a family resort.

Great Location 30 minutes from Austin Downtown and 15 minutes from the Airport.
Service from the Valet to Checkout was wonderful
Check in was pleasant and the Front Desk Employee (MIchelle) took extra effort to find us a quiet room with a balcony
Large room with excellent beds and sheets
Multiple Restaurants

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a Balcony

We went with my husband for a conference. The food they served through the conference was very good. My son ate twice at the restaurant by the pool. Very good also. The Firewheel Cafe had the best pancakes I have had in a long time. We shared them and it was high. Rooms are average hotel rooms. Nothing special. The balcony is a really nice addition. We spent most of our time at the pool. You can sign up for a bike for one hour and ride all over the place. You can even ride to your car to get something or to your room for a little while. At night there was a family movie playing outside. They provided the blankets. We also roasted smores. The next day we did the Zipline Adventure. You pay $55 and they drive you next door where you rock climb for a little while and then zipline several times. My 11 year old son thought it was the best ever. We plan to go back when dad can join us for more of a family time. There are lots more events planned daily that we did not do.

This hotel is the place to be when you need to getaway and just have fun. Not only is it nice, but the look overall is just very relaxing. Rooms are great with good spacious bathrooms! Seperate shower/bath and most rooms have a nice balcony. The lazy river is the BEST!!! And there is also so many activites to do when you come its like home! My wife can go to the spa while I zipline or shoot pool. And when you wake up you have to go eat breakfest at firewheel cafe.. Best buffet around! Also at nights too its great. Overall great summer vacations are spent here!
