“Cheap Six Flags”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Sandy Lake sells a lot of tours to school and church groups. Kids in groups seem to love this place.

There's really not much to offer for an individual family. They compare to Six Flags like Six Flags compares to Disney, a good copy but not exciting.

“Time to update!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

These folks make a killing year after year running music festivals for local schools of all levels. Overall, the facilities are (and have been) in dire need of being updated. They have a "roller coaster" that is the scale of a portable carnival that sets up in parking lots today. That is basically the situation for all of their rides.
If you want a simple and old fashioned experience, this is the place for you.

“Old Time Family Park”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Will remind you of places you went as a child. Take your grandchildren on a nice weather day. Swimming, playing, eating and sometimes there are school bands and orchestras putting on demonstrations.

“Fun for Families”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

A large family-friendly park but designed for the younger child. This is a nice alternative to larger amusement parks which can be so crowded that you don't have fun. There are many rides available for toddlers through pre-teens. Pony and train rides are nice and small roller coasters for those not ready for Six Flags. We have had several birthday parties here and the guests really enjoyed it.

Tips: You are allowed to bring a picnic lunch as long as it's not take-out but there is food available for purchase. Rides are purchased with tickets so the price can add up.
