“Down home cooking”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

A place where the locals visit. Nothing but a hole in the wall with good ole fashioned cooking. Very busy place in the morning and yes the servers can be a little bit gruffy but what the heck - the place is named "Granny D's" which goes with the ambiance.

“Lot of food but overall average lunch”
Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

Good meal lots of food first time I have had a patty melt between two slices if bread. Served in a plastic basket making it hard to cut and eat. Had to treat as a sandwich. Would have preferred it on a plate. Had onion rings with it and they were good and only a dollar. Wife had a Ruben and because of the size brought half home. Generous portions but tasteless thousand island dressing. Service was good atmosphere lacking. A roadside cafe

“I Was Harassed”
Reviewed December 11, 2013

The old lady working there told me, "We don't serve Mexicans here. If you want to eat, there is a taco stand down the road". I AM 100% SERIOUS WITH THIS REVIEW.

So, if you agree with this attitude towards others who are different from yourself, they will gladly serve you.

“Old Folks Food”

It's not bad. It will satisfy when really hungry or old. We had the fried fish plates. They could have had a hint of seasoning.

“The Best Food on fm 306”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

The Chicken Fried Steak was the best we have had lately & the gravy was yum. We were loving the Canyon lake area in October and were so hungry we stopped @ Granny D's so glad we did it was great. The food service and price was great. Real home cooking . The chicken fried steak came with our choice of mashed potato's and fried cabbage or your choice of many other veggies. Next time we go I want to try the cat fish it looked real good on the table next to ours yum.
