“Too expensive for what was offered”

I was told on the phone that there was 4 beds to sleep 8 people. I was not told that the beds were 2 futons, one less than double bed and one bunk bed. It was a good that 5 of my family did not come because there would not have been room. There was hardly enough room for my son and daughter-in-law and my 7 year old grandson. I do not recommend these cabins to anyone. The price was almost $200 a night. It was not worth it.

My daughter booked her wedding here after much review of similar venues in the area. The venue was perfect for our family and friends, and competively priced. We feel we received a good value for our money. Pool, volley ball, boutchy ball, childrens playground and full kitchen with numerous BBQ areas. The setting is gorgeous and very well kept. The management is extremely helpful and friendly. We will be recommending this venue to all of our friends and family for future bookings. I read were a couple of customers thought that the venue was not 5 star, it is not, it is traditional Texas hill country. Next time do your research. Thank you!

Went for a family wedding in the area. It was extremely overpriced. Stains on the walls. Hair and pet hair on the blankets. Don't think they have ever been washed. Grossed me out. Pillows had not protectors on them. Drool marks on the pillows! BLAH!

Our niece lives in the area and we attended her mother's birthday party. Setting is nice, but that's about it. We stayed one night at what was supposed to be one of their biggest, best rooms, so paid more. Decor was shoddy at best and barely clean. Bed was wobbly with no head board, which is a tip off to how detail is attended to. Tv was smallest I've ever seen for wide-screen. Would never stay there again, even if free. It seemed like a very used mobile home on the inside. There are better places for the money.

Room Tip: Avoid premium rooms. i never saw anything else.

Our family just had its reunion at Canyon Lake. It was awesome! We chilled by the pool and playground while the kids played and the guys BBQed and drank beer. The free movies for the kids was great and they loved running around with their cousins. This was the first reunion that was actually relaxing and fun for everyone. We will definitely be back next year.

Room Tip: stay back by the pool if you have kids

We stayed in an "OutFront" Cottage (sleeps up to ten) with our five kiddos. They were SO excited about sleeping in the loft, especially the ones who got to sleep in the bunk bed. Our 4yo asked hopefully if the cottage was our new house ;) The property has a playhouse, playground, picnic tables, BBQ pits, and pool. The pool was beautifully lit at night and has a fountain, shallow area for toddlers, and steps to sit on. We were happily surprised to discover we had our own private bathroom off of our bedroom - I'm never fond of sharing a bathroom with four boys :P Bed and pillows were comfy. The cottages have a cute front porch with chairs and are lit with dozens of pretty white lights at night. The owners were friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. They mentioned they had bought the property a couple of years ago. We didn't take advantage but saw DVD's, puzzles and board games in the office available for borrowing. For those of you with kids I highly recommend Comal Park at the lake, which has a roped off swimming area for kids and the dinosaur tracks at the Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country :) And then of course all the fun things to do in the nearby towns and cities. Enjoy your trip! The Wells Family
