Camping in an RV at this site is one of the best! We paid $24 a night. Has water and electric hookups, so no sewer. But we did just fine. Restrooms were very clean. The first come, first serve sites fill up quick during summer months. So it's best to go early in the week to reserve your favorite spot, but you will have to pay for all nights reserved. When we arrived (Thursday at 3pm), almost all RV sites were taken except the ones in the sun (no shade). We actually didn't mind since we came prepared with an Easy-Up tent and a tarp to go along with the covered picnic table and our awning.
The camp host was pretty lenient as far as the rules go. We had 3 vehicles, camper, and a boat at our site.
The beach area could have been better. The grass was overgrown and not maintained very well. For a Corp of Engineers park, I was expecting a better swim area.
Overall we enjoyed this trip and will definitely be back soon! We were told once school starts the shaded sites won't fill up. We're looking forward to a fall trip!
