I found this lodging on tripadvisor.com while searching for a location to celebrate a family holiday. There is nothing to say that is not good. I hesitated to even write a review because we have definite plans to return. The staff was friendly and kind. We had booked the cottage for 3 nights and a room for 2 nights. Kim called us to make sure that "we didn't have any unpleasant surprises" on that 3rd night.
The property was beautiful. There are 2 friendly dogs, Randy and Oreo. Just don't let Oreo know you have food in your hand- he tends to jump. After spending a day shopping at Trade Days, you should take another day and use the golf cart rental to roam the 200 acres. We had an absolute blast searching out the stocked ponds, the donkeys and the longhorns.
The cottage's kitchen was not equipped for a full out family invasion but we made it work. Having breakfast available in the guest center was a nice perk and the food was delicious, served by very accommodating staff. The beds were so comfortable in both the Beaumont room and the cottage. Even the trundle bed was better than most hotel rooms.
The owners were in Kansas City while we were there but they should rest assured that the staff takes excellent care of their guests in their absence. I can't imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Trade Days.
