Quiet and off the beaten path. Good food, and I especially like the breakfast with their griddled biscuits(not very common around here). It is a little way out of town and tends to provide a very quiet and relaxing setting for dining.

Stopped by for lunch on Burnet's Festival weekend. The whole town was crazy and other restaurants were running out of food. 2300 Cafe had opened their back patio for more seating (which I'd not seen in previous visits), added live music to soothe the order to serve wait time, added the owners to the staff to help out, and their food was still decent. Order their chicken salad. It's an original recipe and one of their best dishes. Or try the ham and cheese sandwich or pasta salad. They're good too. 2300 Cafe tries hard--and it shows!

We stopped here after an afternoon of hiking in a State Park. We both had a hamburger and chips and the wife added a dinner salad. Burgers were good but nothing to write home about. Service was actually pretty good and the tab added up to $20 and change, which I thought was a perfectly fair price. The only down side was their pie, which on a sign outside, they claim "Best Pie". Not sure where it is the best because the sign doesn't say... My take home piece of apple pie came in a take home box that absolutely dwarfed the slice of pie. In fact, I can't even call that thin burnt thing a piece of pie. I think maybe it might have been an apple tart at one time. Maybe... Either way I sent it back and told them (very politely) that I would have to pass on the pie. I proceeded to get some attitude back from the cashier, who I presume was the owner. Evidently no one sends his pies back - no matter how burnt they are... My suggestion would be to check your product before you send it out. If it's not quality don't serve it.

Overall, not bad but I wouldn't stop here again. Just a little attitude from someone can ruin a place.

Not bad breakfast, but not anything extraordinary. Service was friendly and prices were appropriate. Haven't eaten lunch there yet, but have heard its good!

Very clean and friendly nice home style menu and atmosphere. Food was served hot and fresh. Tortilla soup was great along with the ham and swiss, Philly steak, and chicken fried chicken sandwich. Flavored teas were refreshing. Cherry cobbler was excellent and you can't go wrong with a scoop of BlueBell ice cream on it.
