Best Western Red River Inn
Ranked #1 of 1 Hotels in Burkburnett

The walls in this hotel are paper thin! We heard everything going on in the next room & the person walking around above us all night! It is convenient to the casinos that's why we stayed here. The hotel itself was nice & clean. Breakfast was good & the attendant was excellent. The shower curtain stunk like mildew. It needed a new one!

Stayed here September 11, 2010. It is the nicest hotel in Burkburnett. The outside, reception, room, and bathroom were immaculate. Everything I saw seemed up to date without signs of wear. The security was good. There is free wireless (which I used and will comment on below) and a free breakfast (which I did not use). Although I have a few complaints, with the information below and the 100% satisfaction guaranty they have, I will be back.

Here's what you need to know:
1) If you are going to use the WiFi get a room near the desk or check your reception before settling in. We stayed in the last room on the top floor and the reception came and went.
2) If you are staying over Saturday night get both passwords for the WiFi since it expires at midnight. Alternatively, you can call the desk and get it in the middle of the night as I did. Note to management: when a guest calls at 3 a.m. to say that the WiFi passcode doesn't work there's no need to ask: "Do you want the new code?"
3) Sit down on the bed before you unpack. Our room had a brand new bed but every move, like reaching to flip the page of your book, caused a weird and loud sound to come from the head of mattress (?). Since we did not realize this until well past our bedtime we did not ask for a room change; I am certain it would have been quickly granted. The bed and bedding were very comfortable,
4) From our room on the top floor at the back of the building I heard no traffic; however, there was a very vocal owl announcing that he was awake and in business throughout the night.

My only complaint is the price. They are, in many ways, the only game in town and charge accordingly.

Birds nest in the sign on the side of the hotel and crap all over the entry door and sidewalk you have to walk through to get into your room. The bedspread had crusty barbecue sauce on it which proves the linens were not washed between guests. The Business Center has one Dell computer with a Dell printer that is missing its ink cartridge. I told the front desk and was informed that others had brought this to her attention on many previous nights and she informed me she had told management but nothing had been done about it. She apologized for the problem. All in all I would say some people running this hotel are being paid for a job they do not perform!

The hotel is very clean but very over priced for what it is. We will not stay in this hotel again. If someone is willing to spend around $100 a night then this would be a great place to stay.

This hotel is only a few miles from the two Oklahoma casinos. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Great place to stay. Close to fast food places and convenience store.

This hotel is about halfway between Wichita Falls and the casinos (Kiowa and Red River) in Devol, OK. It is a nice hotel. The ladies at the desk are wonderful and helpful.

The rooms were very nice. The halls do have a strange odor however. Could not quite figure it out. But this hotel is clean and has a great breakfast.

This is an excellent motel in a very nice small-town environment north of Wichita Falls. Check-in was fast and friendly, the property has an elevator, there is a nice breakfast area including hot items.

The room was clean and nicely appointed, with the usual sumptuous Hampton bed. The room has wired internet, and there is a cable included in the room. The room was very quiet for sleeping. In the morning, there was a newspaper hanging on the doorknob.

The motel is right off the freeway, and there is food and gas both nearby and also in town. The vortex of one-way ramps and access roads is a little confusing, but this is a small town and it's pretty easy to put yourself right if you make a wrong turn.

One downside is the fairly cheap-o cable package they have for the TV. Just a barebones basic package. I would expect more from a Hampton.

Also, and this is a pet peeve of mine, but when I checked in during a downpour, the entire area under the overhang in front of the motel entrance was occupied -- one lane by what appeared to be the car of the owner or manager (judging by the different times I saw it there), and the other by the idling car of the husband/boyfriend of a motel employee who was getting off work. NOTE TO HAMPTON MANAGEMENT: This area is for the convenience of paying guests, not as a perk for the manager or for employee pickup during check-in hours.

Overall, though, I was very happy with my stay.
