Owner description: Tejas Rodeo Company is a hidden gem, tucked away in the corner of Bulverde, Texas, just north of San Antonio. There’s fun for the whole family out at Tejas Rodeo! In addition to a live open pro-rodeo produced every Saturday nine months out of the year, we have a steakhouse with an award winning menu, authentic outdoor food and ice cold drinks, a pavilion and stage for live music, and several horse clinics and special events throughout the year. Like what you see? During non-event days, we can host your event! New to the rodeo scene? Don’t forget we have horse boarding facilities and offer riding lessons as well. As our onsite restaurant, Tejas Steakhouse and Saloon, is gaining recognition, we recommend making reservations to ensure you and your party have a guaranteed great time! Rodeos, followed each weekend by a dance with live music, run from March through November every year- “9 months of rodeo, 3 months of rodeo!”

“Firefighter Rodeo”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We attended the Tejas Rodeo grounds for a special Firefighter Rodeo. Our son=in=law is a firefighter and participated with some fellows from his department. Had a fun time. The arena is well set up ( I'm an old FFA/Ag boy so I know rodeos) as well as the surrounding amenities. (stay away from the Tejas Steakhouse- see separate review). They have regular rodeo events every Saturday and I will probably attend one as I am in the area often.

“Great way to get "initiated" into Texas way of life!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

If you're visiting Texas for the first time, go to the rodeo first! We picked up cowboy hats from a Mexican vendor and our kids were introduced to the Texas way of life right off the bat. They really enjoyed the rodeo, especially the mutton-busting! Stay to watch the dancing after the rodeo--it is really enjoyable.

“Enjoy a little bit of Texas!”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

We visited the rodeo on our vacation to San Antonio. We made reservations and ate dinner at the on-site steak-house. The cheddar biscuits are to die for!! After we enjoyed watching the rodeo, bull riding, barrel racing, mutt busting..So much fun.
After the rodeo was over we enjoyed watching the locals dance the two-step to a live band. A great family oriented evening.
Our son visited the next month on his vacation. He has two little boys, They enjoyed being cowboys for a night, just like Woody..
