A very small museum with a hodgepodge of small mostly static displays. If you have been to ANY other natural science museum you will be disappointed. Go to the George H W Bush Presidential Library instead.

Horse Power, the story of Horse-drawn vehicles" is the featured exhibit through mid-Jan.,2018. I spent about a hour looking at the exhibit and enjoyed it.

I was interested in the construction of stage coaches. There is a direct connection between the companies which manufactured horse carriages, and those who transitioned into making horse-less carriages.

This museum is small, but well done. It has some great fossils and historical artifacts from the area. In order to see and read everything expect to spend 1-1:30 hours.

Personally, I love small random museums, with exhibits cobbled together from bequests, particularly if there's below average taxidermy. So this ticked my boxes.

Not so much my 15 month old son. There were no appropriate places for him to play, so he had to stay in the stroller. Some of the live animals interested him, others were scary. This would be better for older kids who would actually engage with the exhibits. The Children's museum is a better bet for little ones.

Not very many exhibits, but what they had was nice. Would have enjoyed the live animal exhibit more if there were not campers in there, too. They offer a day camp for children, so we felt uncomfortable going in the live animal exhibit area while all of the campers were doing their crafts.
