Review of Shipwreck Grill

Shipwreck Grill
Ranked #23 of 184 Restaurants in Bryan
Cuisines: Seafood
Description: Opened in 2009 I believe, neighborhood bar and grill. Oysters, cajun crawdads, e'touffee, shrimp, blackened fish tacos and their own signature Shipwreck sauce. Great atmosphere and owners who are on site and friendly. We love this place and would love to write the first review if you agree to list it.

“Great seafood dive! Fun.”
Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

Great seafood dive bar. Kinda like slipping down to the gulf. Pretty good food but servers who are happy makes up for ok food. Had fish tacos on a wens night. $2 bucks each and they were very good. Also they shuck oysters. Hope this place makes it. Patron local resteraunts or they disappear. Oh yea, saw the burger at the bar, would make Buffett proud.

“Always good”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Not a huge selection on the menu, but everything we have tried is very good from raw oysters, to shrimp, cold, fried, or grilled, to burgers & salads. Has a nice bar, and patio too. It fills up quickly in the evening, so come early. Our favorite place in Bryan/College Station for seafood & rinks.

“Fun place”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

Ate lunch here for the first time this past weekend. The atmosphere was nice for a late afternoon Saturday lunch. There aren't many places in town to find fried crawfish year-round, so that was nice. There weren't as many seafood options as I expected, but what they have looked good. Reasonable prices and good service!

“Funky Fun Dive with Great Food, Drink and Friendly Folks”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

Been a regular at the Shipwreck since Mary and Wade opened in 2009. Always something going on at this high energy neighborhood restaurant. Seafood makes up the majority of the menu but burgers, steaks and cajun specialties are also available. You won't believe the Shrimp Diablo appetizers which are shrimp in jalapeno wrapped in bacon or the Oysters on the Half Shell!! Authentic Seafood Gumbo is my favorite wintertime lunch. I also love the Blackened Fish Tacos with their own Shipwreck Sauce, yummy. Everyone at the Shipwreck Grill has a smile and I mean the management, staff and customers. Live music is featured several nights a week and you also never know when Wade will produce another of his classic Shipwreck based movie spoofs. If you show up at the right time you may even get to be in the show! I love this place and think I will run down there right now and have a cold beer and some raw oysters!
