“Orlando's Pizza is pretty good!”
Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

We stopped and ate at Orlando's before going to a wedding in New Braunfels. We almost had selected the Subway that's right before it but wanted to try it since it was we love pizza. Boy, are we glad we did! The service was great, the cashier and the service staff were very friendly. The cashier asked if we had any special order would like to place for pizza? We told her any thin crust pizza would be fine. The restaurant has a good appearance and was clean. The salad bar was nice in that it had a bowl of iceberg lettuce with cabbage and carrots and it also had a bowl of Romain to choose from for your greens. It also had a great variety of toppings to choose from and the Caesar dressing was delicious. There were about 10 to 15 varieties of pizza on the buffet. We tried the spinach pizza, barbecue chicken pizza, chicken with green peppers and onions, and thin crust veggie - all were pretty yummy. They had about four different types of dessert and we chose the iced cinnamon pie - wow, it was awesome! So for $5.49 you get salad, pasta, pizza and dessert! This is way better than something like CiCi's Pizza! When in Brookshire or just passing through stop by and eat at Orlando's pizza, it's a great choice - especially for families and large groups!

“A good option for a small town”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

If you have visited a Ci-Ci's, you will feel right at home at Orlando's. We wonder if the person who developed this business worked at or managed a Ci-Ci's location or just visited one or more and made notes.

We did think the pizza was generally better than at the 4 different Ci-Ci's we have visited in Houston. My wife especially likes the brownies at the Ci-Ci's nearest our home, but she considered the brownies at Orlando's a serious miss. Some of the other desert pizza are better than standard Ci-Ci's fare.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The major negative at buffet places like this are the parents who let their children serve themselves. I observed a boy too short to really see the pizza try to scoop up a slice and carry it to their table on the spatula. He made about 2 steps before dumping it in the floor. Parents never got off their duff to help him or clean up the mess. I spoke to one of the ladies working the line and she cleaned up the sausage from the floor.

“Thrilled to find...”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

What a find!

If you're traveling west of Houston (or just want a great meal!) stop off in Brookshire at Orlando's Pizza!

When you open the door, the wonderful pizza smells get your taste buds ready! You come in to be greeted by friendly staff (One was the owner).

If you order the buffet - all you can eat salad, pasta, pizza and dessert - it's $5.49 plus drinks and tax.
They have 2 types of salad greens, then all the fixin's from banana peppers, jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, etc. etc. I think 5-6 kinds of dressing.
Then you find fresh penne pasta that you can smother with either alfredo or a rich tomato sauce.
Then... OMGosh - there's all the pizza!
There were probably 15 types displayed, constantly replenished - BBQ chicken, hawaiian pineapple, spinach alfredo... the always crowd-pleasing pepperoni and cheese... I don't even know what they all were but each slice we tried was delicious.

Then... There's dessert pizza. Oh. My.
Lemon. Chocolate. Cinnamon. I'm not sure about others but we tried those 3. YUMMO!!

It's an inviting place that apparently regulars enjoy as well as travelers.
When we were there at lunch on a Monday, the dining room was packed with a diverse crowd - suited business people with badges, a table of men who were painters, several families with young children, some truckers...
We overheard some folks special order a pizza they wanted and by the time they finished their salad, it was delivered to their table.

They were busy, but we never felt rushed.
The staff kept the dining room clean.

There's a big room with all manner of video games, and a couple of TV's if you want to watch.

One of our party is disabled, and the staff was especially helpful to us - even helping us out to our vehicle after the meal. Now THAT is service!

When we're out that way again, we WILL be back!
