Sunday lunch - place was not busy at all

Pro's - Place was clean, bright and fit the name. "american bistro".
Food was good - back bean omelet and grits and eggs with some sause

Con's - service was horrible, the hostest SERVED US THE ENTIRE MEAL!!! One of the waitresses felt it more important to SIT at a table chatting with a customer about ALL the problems from the night before and why the restaurant isn't making it and what the owner should do to change it BUT not take orders and serve tables with what they needed.
*** sauce with the eggs made it soupy but didn't get a chance to tell anyone but oh well their loss

We were seated and someone dropped off bread and water but didn't even look back to see if we needed anything or wanted to order. No one came to the tabel for 15 min i ended up asking the hostest who was clearing the table to take our order. I didn't expect much from her because it wasn't her job but we NEVER got a server... at all. We got our food and was asked if we needed anything and i did but what we asked for never came.

It was apparent that we were not the only table with this problem. Several tables were sitting with empty glasses and dirty tables waiting to be bussed were all over the place.

I am sure the food is good but with the service to get it i would not recommend this place to anyone.

Over-priced, awful food served incredibly slowly (or in one case, not at all).

Lunch took three hours. I'd rather have spent the time on Devil's Island.

My advice is, STAY AWAY.

This is where we held the big birthday celebration for my sister's 70th birthday. There were approximately 20 of us; and even though I felt they were a little overwhelmed, The food was good and we had a private room so we didn't have to worry about being too loud and disturbing others.

Stopped in on the way home from a business trip, and glad we got off the highway to find a meal more than a fast food, eat in the car, and hope we don't spill! WONDERFUL!!! Homemade sauces, dressings, and bread! Living on the Gulf coast, kind of makes us leery of seafood away from the coast.....really one of the very best we have had! DELICIOUS in everyway!! Great food...great service! Really enjoyed it....we shall return!!!

Very limited lunch menu. Crab cake sandwich was on a bun with a miniscule orange colored dressing, but didn t need mayo because was so greasy it ran down your arm. Chicken and avocado sandwiches came out w/o avocado and they brought 2 paper thin slices to put on it, again no mayo on bun. Chicken tostacho (taco salad) with beans - forgot to put beans in it and brought out a bowl of what looked like canned refried beans. The iced tea was so weak I think they had been using the same tea bag all week. It took us 3 hours to get out of there and the place wasn t busy. WONT GO BACK!
