Owner description: This ice cream has been a Texan treat since 1911.

This is a well organized tour which ends with a sweet treat. I would not recommend going during Spring Break. This creamery started just making butter. I think it is one of best ice creams available with so many choices that should suit anyone's taste. It is hard to beat Butter Pecan in a waffle cone.

We visited the Blue Bell factory over Spring break. It was very busy, however the tour guided did a wonderful job of keeping everyone on schedule. The tour was about 30-45 mins long, and at the end you are able to have ice cream. It was wonderful and affordable for any family! I would definitely recommend!

I was a little worried based on other reviews, but we thought the tour was great. With little ones, it was the perfect length of time and ends in the ice cream parlor. The staff couldn't be nicer to our family, even our three year old who had a tantrum. We will be back for sure for another tour.

We traveled here on a Tuesday morning, spring break week. We had so much fun! A very inexpensive activity for the entire family! BEWARE....it gets very busy as the day goes by. Go early if you can.

For years we have used this as a great half day outing with grand kids. A great age is 6 to 12. You can get tickets on line....which I recommend during big tourist demand...summer and spring break. The tour is 45 minutes....very informative...and fun. You get to go into a very cold room....15 below zero like they store the ice cream. Best of all you finish with bowl of your choice of Blue Bell
