I stayed in this hotel for a "stay cation" so my family could all come out and swim and enjoy the indoor pool during the 110 degree days.
We got an extremely nice jacuzzi suite. So nice in fact that the jacuzzi was in a separate room that looked like those dummy doors to an adjacent room.
Full size fridge and range and microwave within a little kitchenette was unexpected.
Overall it was very nice aside from the surly desk clerk who constantly followed my family the pool room admonishing them that they couldn't swim without me present when I was on my way down in the slow elevator.
It's without a doubt the nicest hotel in Bowie. I would recommend a stay here if you are passing thru. It's kind of hard to figure out for an out of towner to get back into our quaint little town, but hopefully the desk people will help out with that.
Bowie has a great many antique shops down town and some great restaurants not listed on Trip Advisor. I'd recommend the delicious lunch buffet at Longhorn Cafe. They do dinner buffets as well Thurs thru Sat night. All you can eat and melt in your mouth delicious.
Nostalgia is listed on Trip Advisor, and a great choice but you almost always need reservations at Lunch and they don't serve dinner. Great antique soda fountain tho.
Come visit Bowie. You might be glad you did. :)
