We had a reservation for three nights and arrived in 100 degree temperatures. The air conditioning hadn't been turned on and the rooms were stifling. The air conditioner never did work in the first room we were assigned, so we were moved to a second room. It took three hours to cool that room off, and we hurried out to dinner to escape the heat in the room. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but the room was clean. The inn is set back from the street and was quiet. The room was well-equipped with refrig., microwave, clock. The hot water was hot, but the cold water was lukewarm. The vending machine with drinks didn't work for us, taking our money but no drink. The front desk reimbursed us after some confusion as to what to do. The price was higher than we usually like to pay, but it was the height of vacation season.
The most irritating thing was that our keys wouldn't work each morning of our stay. We kept having to get them reactivated. The back entrance door was very difficult to get to open with the key card. The high point was breakfast time. It was the best we've had in a long time. The food was cooked to order by a pleasant and efficient cook. The food was well-cooked and quite good.
We might stay here again, if we can't get anything cheaper and just as nice. The breakfasts could lure us back again, though.
