Saturday night we went to the Creek Restaurant after attending the Boerne Art Walk. There was no available seating indoors, so we elected to sit outside on the deck. The view was lovely, and it was not too hot late in the evening. We shared a Creek Salad, a pasta dish and unfortunately an order of crab cakes. The crab cakes gave us indigestion and tasted fishy. The salad was huge, but mostly lettuce and not enough veggies. The pasta was bland, but much better when we requested more pepper and cheese. I give the atmosphere an A and the food perhaps a C. The service was good.

I selected a restaurant that we had not been to before--to celebrate my 63rd birthday and our 6 months of marriage. We live in FairOaks Ranch--but usually go into San Antonio to eat..

This restaurant far surpassed our expectations. Friends told us that it was good.
That was an UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!

From the moment we walked in--the service--the ambiance--the food --ALL were superb!!
It was a Friday and I had made reservations--there was live keyboard music in the background.
They even topped off my meal with a slice of chocolate mousse.

I had the filet--perfect and delicious--my husband had the special--fillet and sea scallops. He is from Maine and said they were the best he had ever had prepared.

We are still talking about the food--and service we received--and we will be back.

Everyone we encounterted --was very pleasant !
An EXCELLENT Birthday celebration.

we arrived at 2:40 and were told we had to place an order because the kitchen was closing (advertised hours closing at 3 pm).....received our food at 3 and then were made to feel like we were imposing.....if you close your kitchen at 3 i would suggest you close your doors at 230 and allow your guests to RELAX and enjoy their meal. The food was probably very good if I didn't have to rush to get done....it even appeared the manager was leering at us ....and they were cleaning around our table..yuk.....we left at 3:16pm after a miserable experience. Would not recommend for this reason.

Stopped at The Creek Restaurant for lunch today along with three other ladies from San Antonio, and we all commented on how unhappy the hostess and the staff in general looked. The hostess never smiled - never said welcome - never spoke - she just pointed to a table for us to sit at. Unfortunately none of the staff at the restaurant was all that friendly - although the wait staff certainly did their jobs - they knew the menu. Food was good - Shrimp and Grits appetizer and the Key Lime Pie were fabulous. Just wished the staff had been a bit more friendly - looked like none of them really wanted to be there. When we left the hostess was sitting at the front looking very bored and not at all happy.

This is the type of restaurant that has an upscale menu and price but you don't get a lot for your money.

Would we go back? Not likely - would rather go to a place where the staff at least looked happy and smiled and were a bit more friendly.

The food was outstanding and the restaraunt was very old-fashioned quaint. Everyone was very nice and great service. I had a salad with grilled salmon and it was cooked perfect. Great Poblano soup on Fridays!
