Description: The Dodging Duck Brewhaus is located in Boerne, Texas, in the Texas Hill Country. We have an eclectic menu of international and local favorites, from Thai Lettuce Wraps to Chimichurri Grilled Beef Tenderloin to Bratwurst & Sauerkraut. Best of all, we brew great beer! We've already won three gold and three silver medals at the World Beer Championships! Enjoy the ambience as well! Sit on our covered deck and watch the ducks play on the century-and-a-half old mill pond of Cibolo Creek, have an intimate dining experience in one of our lakehouse-style dining rooms, or sit at the wraparound bar and talk beer with the brewmaster (or talk Boerne with the locals)!

I recently went to the Dodging Duck with a large group (10). We had reservations and were seated right away. Our server was Ian. From the time we sat down until we left, Ian was helpful, attentive and fast. The food was very tasty. The menu is quite varied and most anyone can find something to try. The option of getting meals to split is great. I enjoy the Beef Tenderloin Medallions. They have a distinct and a bit strong taste - some may not like it, but paired with a glass of "Emiliana" from Chili, it was wonderful. Our table ordered the Artichoke dip - very good; the fried green tomatoes - excellent and the giant pretzel and sausage - good choice!
At the end of our meal, we were all surprised with the bills - this place is very reasonably priced!
Ian was nice enough to do split checks for everyone at the table. When we were finished and on our way to our cars, Ian ran after one of our party - she had payed her ticket with a large bill and forgot to get the change. Ian brought her the change, which he could have pocketed as a nice big tip. That doesn't happen too often.

Bottom line, this is a nice place with charming atmosphere. We felt very at home here. I will definitely go back!

This microbrewery serves their own beer - I had stout, my husband had blonde. Both were good. The menu consists of seafood, burgers and some vegetarian dishes. My cheeseburger was really good. The bun was not your normal bun - it was sweet and delicious. My husband had the shrimp and agreed that we will be coming back. BTW - they have a GREAT patio across from the Cibolo River, complete with ducks waddling around the shore. Hence, the name!

Great for people-, car- and duck and goose watching. On River Road, they have good German food and cold beer. Try several different brews while you are there.

This restaurant is a bit cramped but still had a cosy atmosphere. (It was raining and too cold to sit outside on the patio). Service was okay albeit a bit lackluster and slow. We enjoyed the pretzel and sausage very much, but made the mistake of ordering the old English fish and chips which was the worst I have ever had. It was crispy and oily outside but mushy and far overcooked inside. It could have been straight out of the frozen fish section at the local grocer.

We discovered this little gem while I was on a hometown visit. It's located across the street from the river and has nice outdoor seating where you can see the river, the ducks and the people strolling along. They have a great beer and wine selection and a good variety of quality food. We had soup, salad and sandwiches and all three were great! We checked out what everyone around us was ordering and it all looked delish! Neat atmosphere, good service, good food and reasonably priced. Definitely a keeper!
