How fun it was to feed the ducks along river road. The area is very clean and beautiful and right around the corner from downtown. It is fun for kids and adults.

Recommend to bring bread with you as there is an abundance of ducks in the river. The park was very clean, with benches every 100 meters or so. There were also plenty of park tables as well which could handle park picnics. When we went we saw some people fishing, though I did not see anyone reel in a fish. There are a number of restaurants and things to see along the park as well. Lots of parking spots, if the parking along the park is full look for parking in the nearby public parking areas.

Park felt comfortable - like home. Well maintained, lots of families walking. along the water. People walking their dogs, kids fishing. Sun shining, it was a great place to spend some time. And right across from it is a sculpture park that has outstanding artists sharing their work. Great day trip from San Antonio

We came upon this jewel of a park while driving around Boerne, trying to find a place to eat our dessert we had purchased from a bakery in town. Parking is right along the street, though I think it might be difficult to find a spot at certain times of day. The creek is lovely, as are the trees and other greenery. Fishing is allowed. Picnic tables, large trees, trash receptacles. Canoeing!

The attraction here besides convenient location and beauty, are the ducks, geese, swans and other waterfowl (and other birds). There are a LOT of them and they will come to see you if you have any food. Well, they will come to see you anyway, hoping you have food! IF you do not like such waterfowl coming towards you, near you-then don't come here! But we loved it and yes, though we are not supposed too, we fed the ducks and geese and swans and whatever else came our way. So did everyone that was there that day. Walking path is very nice and it is a great place to spend on a nice, sunny, warm day in Boerne!

Recently upgraded with new trails, native landscape and pretty rock walls, River Road Park is in the heart of Boerne and is a great place to picnic and feed the ducks. It is also part of the new trail which starts @ Ye Kendall Inn and winds along the river to Cibilo Nature Center.
