Bodacious burger, Eagle burger, Veggie burger, gluten-free buns. Whatever your choice, you count on it being delicious and fresh. Salad bar for the not so hungry. Great playscape and basketball area outside. Music Friday and Saturdays nights.

Please try Dog and Pony. We visited D&P during their second week. Boy, do they have a lot of staffing, training, prep issues to work out. But the food, once received, was pretty good, a little over-cooked, but forgivable for the first visit. Turkey burger came out in about 15-20 minutes. The CFS came out about 30 minutes after receiving the burger. We had to ask for the CFS three times. Again we wanted to forgive the wait, but should have been offered a comp or dessert or something. No apology was given. The food was a little burned and greasy. We decided to be generous and allow for a new place being run by high school kids without proper training. The prices are a little high for a place without table service or much service at all. The prep area needed knowledgeable supervision as several glaring food prep/storage errors were visible. The best thing is the salad bar - we so needed a salad bar in town! I was very pleased except in the dressing selection. There are nine dressing offerings, except for two vinaigrette styles, they are all white, creamy dressings - no French or 1000 Island types. I'll go back to the salad bar and bring my dressing of choice. We will certainly return hoping operations have gotten better, and I will post an updated review. Please go to Dog and Pony. The owners have put so much money into the D&P and the concept is needed in Boerne. We sure hope the snafus are worked out and the place makes it. We need it! (Dog = Boerne Greyhounds; Pony = Champion Chargers)

This restaurant is new to the area and has taken their name from the two local high school mascots. They have inside and outside dining, plus play areas for kids. Order and pay upfront, walk around the counter to pick up your order if they are slow, or go grab your drink and table while you wait for your pager to summon you. I ordered the old fashioned burger it came with what seemed to be battered fries. The burger had good grilled flavor with lots of chopped lettuce, so be aware when ordering you may need to request according to your tolerance of food falling from your burger while you eat. The fries were not the best, I wish there had been an option to choose chips instead. I dined solo and my meal with a drink with a small counter tip ended up at $10.
