This restaurant is a must for everyone to visit. Their food is amazing, it's beautiful, comfortable seating inside and out. There is something for everyne on the diverse menu. They're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tasty german entrees will delight you. Their desserts...especially the apple strudel with chantilly cream is to die for! I highly recommend the jaeger schnitzel is probably the best in the world.

What a wonderful surprise to find Little Gretel in Boerne! We have eaten at many high-end restaurants and found Little Gretel to be right up there with the best. We started our dinner with Carpaccio which was perfectly served with capers, finely-diced shallots, and spinach in a lemon-oil base with wheat toast. The beef tenderloin was thinly sliced, fresh, and very flavorful. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel which was served with mashed potatoes, brown sauce, and cabbage. I am not always a fan of cabbage but the cabbage was cooked perfectly and complimented the veal very nicely. The schnitzel was outstanding. My husband had the duck confit which was tender, very flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We were too full to eat dessert at the restaurant so we got an apple streudel to-go. It was by far the best apple streudel I have ever had. It was served with creme fraich and was a true delight. I wish I had ordered more than one.

The decor is absolutely delightful. It is a contemporary, charming style with lovely art and accent pieces. Even the bathroom is precious. It has a clean water theme with the focus being a glass bowl sink with a waterfall faucet.

There is a small bar with a flat screen TV which would be the perfect place to spend an evening with friends.
