The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are very pretty and looks brand new. But the property outside is a different story. As soon as we arrived and opened out door to get out of our car about 50 flies flew in. It literally smelled like a dead body outside.. Im hoping it was a cow or horse or something but it was the smell of DEATH. And there was about a billion flies everywhere, it was disgusting!!!!!! They had a cute pool with gazebo's around the property but that smell and flies all around you everywhere is awful. I couldn't be outside for long. Then on the way home it took ab 3 hours to get all the flies out of the car. I felt like a crazy person. I'd find another hotel to stay at.

Hotel was very nice, still in brand new condition and with lots of luxurious furnishings and accents.
The floral grounds and outdoor seating areas were relaxing.
Hotel is centrally located for many of the area sights of the Hill Country.

My husband and I stayed here when we had a meeting and Friedricksburg. We thought this was just going to be like your typical hotel chain in a small town. It was so much better. When we checked in, the clerk welcomed us warmly, even though it was quite late. He told us where we could grab some quick groceries to make something to eat in our room (there is a medium-sized fridge and microwave in the rooms).
When we returned, the owner was behind the front desk as he works the night shifts so his employees can have the better shifts.
The room was very large, the king-sized bed probably the most comfortable I have slept on, and the room was amazingly clean! There is also free WiFi in the rooms.
This is truly a hidden jewel in the midst of small towns in Texas and I would highly recommend it.

This hotel was very convenient for the place we visited right there in Blanco, TX and a short drive to our destination in Wimberly, TX. The front desk person was very friendly. The exterior itself stands out in such a small town. The one bedroom suite was spacious and lived up to "luxury" advertising in the hotel name. The outside of the hotel has a cute little sitting area/gazeebo.

Lobby and room were very clean--had a great night's sleep on the bed. Breakfast was perfect, the Texas shaped waffles were a hit with the kids. The desk attendant was very nice and helpful . Hopefully we'll be able to stay again on our way back home.
