“Very clean hotel and friendly staff.”
Reviewed July 16, 2010

This hotel is very clean. It is right off the service road of I-35, yet it is quiet. Huge parking lot. Very close to stores and restaurants. Staff is friendly.

Stayed for 4 days while visiting Waco and booked this hotel because of an internet deal. Was a bit nervous about it after reading other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The hallways were clean and well lit. The room itself was nice and clean, roomy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast included texas shaped waffles, and the other usual breakfast fare. The pool was very clean and our kids spent a lot of time there. Our room had a full size fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The kingsize bed was in a separate room and there were two televisions. Also enjoyed the nearby restaurants, Cracker Barrel, Luby's, and Wendy's. Found a local restaurant, Uncle Dan's, which had great barbeque. We plan to come back to Waco and stay here again.

I viewed a room prior to staying and that was one of their better rooms. The week that I stayed, the furniture was severely chipped and dented. The room had a mildew smell. The other guests had children continuously running up and down the halls making noise. There was a dog in the hallway another day barking at us. The manager on staff was rude. Because I stayed several family members chose to stay. It will NEVER be my recommendation again. $400 for nothing!!! Some relatives paid $200 for a couple of days.

Over the past 4 years or so, I've stayed at this hotel on the few trips I've had to take to Waco. Ususally, it's on the way to DFW or somewhere else, but each time, it's been for a single night.

I really don't think it would be worth the cost to stay more than one however. That may not have been the case a few years ago, but today, I think it is. You can tell the place has aged, and while people do clean the rooms... maybe it's just me, but the place does look a bit different each time I've stayed. It's no slight to the people at the desk or anything, as the rooms on their own are fairly comfortable. Some places age a bit better than others though.

It's actually relatively close to Downtown Waco & Baylor, so distance or location isn't really an issue. I probably will stay here again, but just for a night.

Nothing special. Room was mediocre...I think the entire Country Inn & Suites chain is aging, and the pre-fab structures don't age so well. Room was a bit beat-up and had a cheap feel to it. We stayed here without planning...just a hotel along the way. Hotel is situated right on the freeway (I-35)...convenient but you can hear some road noise (not like a motel with the door opening to the outside, but a little hum).

Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The hygiene of their breakfast attendant made us stay away from the uncooked foods.

I would not stay here again unless just "traveling through"...not a destination place, not a place to stay while visiting Waco unless you just want a bed.

Bed was comfortable. Kids slept on fold-out couch--it didn't look comfortable but kids don't seem to care.

Shower was excellent...excellent pressure and temperature was consistent. I think that was the best thing about this room.

Walk-in price was $64 per night plus TTL.

In town to visit Baylor. This property is tired, a distance from the university and needs some attention and renovation. There are several newer, fresher properties in Waco. Won't stop here again!
