Room was very clean--I have high standards. Breakfast of good quality. Helpful staff. Address needs to be clarified. Says WACO, but is another "town". We had to backtrack several miles because of the errror.

This is a recently remodeled hotel. It was clean and the room was nice. We stayed in the king suite which is all they had available on a Saturday night without reservations. $114 plus tax. Free breakfast was ok. Front desk staff extremely friendly. I recommend.

Beds were comfortable not to hard. Room large, was clean, and new. I will stay at this hotel again. Very quiet , easy to get in and out of off the service road. Newly remodeled. I will tell others to stay at this hotel because it was so clean!

We had a suite which was basically like having two rooms. The kids were able to stay in the living room and we had the bedroom for privacy. The room and the lobby was very clean and the aquarium was a big hit in the lobby. We actually stayed in October 2011 when my cousin got married and just now getting around to writing a review.

On the positive side, we were allowed to check in early and were upgraded to a suite for the same price as a regular room. The manager on duty was really nice. The hotel is recently renovated and so the carpet is new and everything is updated. The room is perfectly adequate, though a bit small for a suite. We've stayed at BW Plus at other locations that were better and bigger. With two people it is not that big a deal. There are two 42" HD TVs, one in the extra room and one in the bedroom, which is convenient. The free breakfast was fine but not as good as some BW Plus we have stayed.

On the negative side, the hotel is extremely close to I-35 so you need to get a room not facing the highway. There is a small road that runs behind the hotel that is surprisingly noisy because the windows are thin. The free wi-fi did not work, so slow that we could not get a connection, so luckily we had our phones with 4G. When the AC came on it was so loud that it sounded like a plane taking off in our room. There were various dead bugs in the room which means either it was not well cleaned or had not been used for a while. The safe in the room was locked by the previous tenant and could not be used, this is something that maintenance should check between each stay.

Room Tip: Get a room not facing the highway!

This hotel is, at best average. If it had not been one of Best Western's "Plus" properties I would have given in an average rating, but in truth there is really nothing "plus" about it. As another reviewer pointed out, the property is in need of a remodel. The furnishings are somewhat worn and dated. The breakfast adequate, nothing outstanding about it. The staff were very cheerful and friendly, about the only plus we found. We had requested a floor preference when we made our reservation, two months prior to our stay. They couldn't give it to us in spite of the fact the facility was not full. It's a minor detail, but was only the second time in the last 12 or so years and a couple of hundred stays at Best Westerns that the request was not honored.

Here is an important room tip: The hotel is on a highway. If you are in a room on the front side of the hotel you will experience considerable highway noise. Ask for a room on the back side. It should cut down considerably on the traffic noise factor. Our bottom line: We travel through Waco three times a year and we will not be staying at this property again.

A final note for those of you who are Best Western Rewards members. If you're an elite member you know that you get certain perks for being so. None were forthcoming from this facility. Additionally, for the first time ever, we didn't even receive the points for our stay. I had to go through corporate to get the points. All in all, not a terrible experience, but not one we're willing to repeat.
