Positives: short walk from the Courtyard hotel; bright, happy atmosphere; wide menu selection.

Negatives: Lot's of fried foods. Be careful to check the preparation, and ask questions. Understaffed. Wine arrived after the salad. Two huge trays of old food and dirty dishes sat at either side of my table. Staff happily took them away after I asked, but I had to ask?

Today we had a very good experience at this establishment. 7 of us were served promptly with hot and properly seasoned food. Service was very good and the manager checked in with us twice to see we were happy. Have eaten here dozens of times. Never a bad meal. Traffic issues will get better.

My first trip here and my husband hadn't been for about 10 years or more. He is Cajun from Louisiana and picky. Our server was Helen and she is one of the best I have had in the last 50 years. Food was good and had a lot of left-overs. Will probably make this a tradition to come when in this area.

If you have the money then give it a try. It's really expensive for the quantity of food. Service is good. It's a nice sit down resturant. It really is difficult to get to unless your a local.

The highway construction is so bad that it literally took up 45 minutes to find out how to get there, even though we could see the place. If you miss the tiny make-shift exit in the highway construction then you are in trouble. GPS will tell you to take many routes that you follow, then find the road closed for construction. The hostess said that it was killing their business. We were there on a Thu night and it was only half full at 7pm, that place should be full. The food is fantastic and everything you would expect from a Pappadeaux's, but only 3 stars because it is not worth the trouble to get there for out-of-towners.
