Two ferry's running takin a short ride from Lynchburg on the N. side of the Houston Ship Channel just off I-10 to Battelground Rd. where the monument is on the S. Side of the Channel. This is where Sam Houston Stopped Santa Anna after the Alamo. The Monument Inn is a Great place to eat excellent Gulf Seafood. If you get parked on the front & the water is rough you will get wet so stay in your vehicle. Lots of history here & a fun way to cross the channel.
