“Best for younger kids.”
Reviewed March 30, 2012

Took two teenagers, hubby and I. Nice park but small. You better be early to grab a chair ( which by the way have little or no shade.) Great play area for young kids though. When we left at 2 there was a line waiting to get in so again... go early. Good thing about this park is they shut down when at capacity. Unlike some big water parks.

“Great Fun, Great Value!”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

Pirates Bay Water Park is fun for the entire family. Whether it's the lazy river, the variety of slides or the kids area, there's fun for all ages. AND, the park is cheap compared to other water parks in Houston. You can also bring in a cooler, which saves money. The concessions are great, though, and also inexpensive.

If you're near Baytown or Houston, you have to check out Pirates Bay!

“Bring a cold drink and be prepared to wait in line!”
Reviewed September 6, 2011

We decided to go to give this water park a try on a Friday. It seems to be a huge hit because they were at max capacity and we waited nearly 2 hours to get in. It was fun for the kids once we were admitted in the park but it was a long, hot wait with no covered area to wait in. There is also no potty accessible while you are waiting..my 4 year old had to go behind a building because although there were restrooms a little ways away, they were locked. We did discover upon arrival that you can bring your ice chests into the park with food and drinks (I highly recommend this because the food inside is not very good and it is highly priced-they ran out of Powerade and Water at the main concession stand and we were told to walk to the one across the park, only to discover no one there). If you can find any coupons for this place--print them and use them. Our tab to get in was over $60 for 2 adults, a 9 year old, and a 4 year old--I really wish we'd arrived earlier knowing we'd wait for 2 hours in line. We arrived at 2 and waited until almost 4. So we certainly didn't get our money's worth in 3 hours and the discounted tickets go on sale at 4 so if we'd known we would have been waiting that long, we would have waited to purchase the tickets, however they were non refundable. One last thing...the water was not cold. It was luke warm at best...I'm not sure if that's something they can be held accountable for but I thought it should be added. I will say that there was plenty to do once you finally get in...if you can find a table and chairs you are lucky...busy place!!
