Review of Cedar's Grill

Cedar's Grill
Ranked #9 of 107 Restaurants in Bastrop
Certificate of Excellence
Cuisines: Italian, Mediterranean
Description: Cedar's Mediterranean Grill is a delicious blend of predominantly Italian and Lebanese food, with the same heart-healthy ingredients known throughout the region. Our restaurant was formed from the merger of two award winning favorite restaurants within Bastrop County. We have a local favorites, like the 1/2 pound burgers (best price in town!), and the Death by Garlic sandwich. Some items are different on our lunch menu than the dinner menu, so make sure you check out both our lunch & dinner menus if you're looking for one of your favorites. You'll find Cedars to be a versatile option for your catering needs. No limitations to just Italian and Mediterranean for our catering functions. HISTORY Established in 2008. Cedar's Mediterranean Grill was formed in February 2008, from the merger of two popular local restaurants, and continues to be a local favorite!

Timely service, but we were neglected to be given our soup and salad that we ordered even though we had ordered and received an appetizer, as well. We were filled and liked the meals chosen. We had asked for falahfil but the restaurant only, offers that for lunch.

We are locals and enjoy a number of the quaint restaurants here. I only gave 4 stars because decor is a bit tacky, but still a gem when it comes to great food and service. There is something on the menu for everyone...I love the crayfish chowder an gyro sandwich. Their battered fries will kill you , but great way to go. They are variety Mediterranean with Greek Turkish Italian etc... Very friendly place...it's Bastrop

Greek, Italian, and Lebanese specialties make Cedar's a very special place indeed. The chipotle hummus is out of this world.

The ambiance is simple and pleasant, the service very good. and the food excellent! We had the baked brie appetizer w/garlic toast..oh yeah! Creamy Tomato Florentine soup and a cup of Crawfish Chowder - the best crawfish dish we've had outside of south Louisiana. The Penne Rustica was outstanding. The salmon was prepared excellently. Presentations were elegant in simplicity. Make this spot a must-taste, even if only for coffee & dessert! Oh, and Frank Sinatra serenading is a great touch.

Cesar's Grill did not disappoint us. We ate there this evening and had the lamb and okra stew over rice. The meat was so tender and flavorful and went well with the okra and tomatoes. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu. It was excellent. The service was also very good. If your are in Bastrop, you should stop here to eat! We will definitely return when in Bastrop.
