“Great Tex-Mex and Seafood”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Visit this place regularly. Favorite dish is shrimp Huatulco... Fresh shrimp in a yummy creamy cilantro sauce. It's excellent. The hubby loves the various unique fajita combinations. The steak fajitas are some of the best around in my opinion. Margaritas are average... El Jefe is the best.

“I have a new favorite!”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We went there today for the heck of it and must say it is my new favorite. The place needs a major overhaul meaning it is showing it's age. Their is outside seating, a little too summer for me to do right now. Didn't have any drinks, but looked really promising. I went for the chimi and must say the ground beef had a great flavor. The beans were great and enjoyed everything. The queso is much like just a melted block of velveeta, but it was good. I was extremely surprised and enjoyed the food.

“Just OK”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

We usually go to the other La Brisa, but decided to try this one. I think this is the original. For some reason, it just didn't seem quite as good. The food was edible, but not as flavorful as I have had in the past at La Brisa. Prices are reasonable & El Jefe margarita is still the best.

“Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

I'm conflicted about this review. It wasn't terrible; it wasn't great. Blah best describes it.

The waffles were gross. The self serve variety from hotels are better. The food was bland and over prepared at the same time. Too much oil and salt was used to cook some items. I think I tasted mostly oil, salt, butter or lard instead of the actual food item.

I will not return.

“Average Texas Mexican Restaurant”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

Tghe portion sizes on everything we have ordered on several visits to Las Brisa are large and
taste average at best. It is certainly the best option for Mexican food in the Bacliff area but does no compare with some of the better Mex. restaurants in Webster/Clear Lake area. Margarita's
are fair but overpriced during happy hour, when we first started going they were $2 during Happy Hour but then price changed higher for the frozen margarita and seemed t have less tequila. If you are in the area it is worth trying, but not worth driving to experience.
