“Worth the trip!”

The inn was beautifully decorated and very comfortably furnished. The owners who also are the inn keepers made us feel welcome and seemed to enjoy us being there as much as we enjoyed our stay. There was a lovely breakfast each morning and coffee, snacks, and soft drinks available all day. It is located in the foothills of the Smoky
Mountains.

We stayed there for 2 nights in early October and had a wonderful time. Very nice location, quiet and beautiful. John and Carolyn were very friendly and did their very best in order to make us feel comfortable and at home. Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains NP is not far, also several restaurants for lunch or dinner (owners will recommend where locals like to go). Our room was very nice and we slept really good. The best is the breakfast though. Awesome food and there was plenty of it, loved it!
Would stay there again! So much better than those packed towns like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

My wife and I just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at the Chilhowee Inn. Our time spent at the Inn was just amazing. We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts and have found none to compare. John and Carolyn helped make our stay perfect. We watched them go out of their way to make our stay special just as we watched them make each guest's stay special. The restored Inn from the common areas to the rooms was perfect. The breakfasts were great and very filling. The evening deserts were to die for. We were so rested after spending a week at the Inn. We enjoyed the evenings spent on the porch making new friends. We will definitely be back to the Inn!

Room Tip: Each room has its own perfect appeal!

My sister and I spent four luxurious days at the Inn and were pampered by John & Carolyn. The breakfasts and nightly desserts were delicious, the rooms beautiful, and the front porch perfect for relaxing. John & Carolyn were accomodating in every respect. Our stay couldn't have been any better. I would recommend this Inn to anyone wanting a peaceful vacation in a beautiful location.

John & Carolyn Pullias have put their heart and soul into this historic Inn. My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful, clean, comfortable room with wonderful hospitality. Breakfast was great and the location is perfect for anyone wanting to visit the Walland/Townsend area. The Inn has been restored using as much as the original home could offer and it was obvious this is John & Carolyn's "labor of love". If you stay here, you will be welcomed with warmth and graciousness that is the heart of the people of East Tennessee. If you are a history buff, John is happy to give history on the Inn and the area in which it is located, dating back to Civil War days. They have some great pictures of the Inn and the area as it used to be in the early 1900's. Anyone who stays with John and Carolyn will leave relaxed and happy!

I had the opportunity to spend one night at the Chilhowee Inn while traveling for business. It was a delightful experience. The Inn Keepers are wonderful people and make you feel like one of the family. The Inn is over 100 years old and they have worked to preserve the history of the Inn. The room, the rocking chairs on the front porch over looking a river, and the service was excellent. Each morning they serve a "country breakfast" and at night you are served homemade pie and ice cream. They are located at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains which allows quick access to Gatlinburg TN and to restaurants. I would highly recommend this wonderful experience to anyone.

My daughter and I stayed at the Chilhowee Inn on the weekend so we could attend a family celebration in the area. Our stay felt like we were visiting family – the furnishings are attractive but not pretentious antiques which you’d be afraid to use. John and Carolyn regularly checked with us to be sure we had all we needed and also spent time with us enjoying a perfect Smoky Mountain evening on their porch. The dessert and breakfast they offered were beyond our expectations. It was difficult to leave this very special place.
