Trail Ride

We had a wonderful time riding horses and highly recommend Twin Valley Horse Ranch. Janice was great with her communication and hospitality. Marcus did a wonderful job guiding our horse adventure. We will definitely book another trip when visiting Tennessee.

My husband and I did a half-day trail ride at Twin Valley ; we had a ball! Janice (owner) and Marcus were patient and excellent guides, teachers and hosts. My husband and I are novice riders; Janice and Marcus made us feel comfortable and safe during the whole ride. Furthermore the ride was not on a straight dull trail; we actually used skills we learned in the preliminary tutorial session (in a small ring) - up a mountain, through forest and down the mountain with riding games. If we are ever in Knoxville area again we would definitely visit Twin Valley for another riding adventure.

more than a trail ride

My daughter and I stayed in the cowboy hideaway for several nights and had two half-days of riding. We planned this as our first annual mother-daughter getaway. We had such a wonderful time that we hope we can return to Twin Valley Ranch every year. Janice and Marcus were so friendly and encouraging and kind. And seeing Julia on the porch each morning as we rode away was a special treat! The horses were beautiful and we were so happy to help with their care (this is optional, but I highly recommend it!) We LOVED the rides. Janice and Marcus really take the time to make sure you are matched well with your horse and that you are comfortable with the ride. The dogs and other animals were just about as much fun as the horses. Our place was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the VCR and horse themed movies. We also enjoyed having a full kitchen. Thank you Janice and Marcus (and Julia) for a wonderful getaway.

What a wonderful escape

Nothing but positive vibes at this ranch! Janice and Marcus were friendly and patient with the children. All the animals are friendly and the ranch itself is gorgeous. With the national parks closed we were still able to enjoy her private land and hiking and riding trails. Luke’s cabin is spacious and adorable. It’s also secluded from the main lodges making it acceptable for social distancing we will definitely be back! My 13 year old wants to come “at least every year” thank you!!!

Lovely!

Janice’s farm is a great place to vacation near the great Smoky Mountains NP ! It is a working farm, with horses, dogs, cats, miniature horses, goats, pigs and bunnies! The cabins are beautiful! We loved our horseback rides, on trails w all the wildflowers in spring. We helped groom the horses and helped feed the adorable farm animals. This makes it a special experience for children, and teaches them valuable life lessons along the way. WiFi/ cell service is spotty and kids were outdoors and playing IRL! The owners love, pride toil and sweat is obvious here and I felt lucky w support and enjoy this special place. I can’t wait to come back and stay at the Lucas cabin & also camp this fall in the wilderness spots. Thanks TVR farm! We luv u!!

WE LUV you all! Awesome folks like you all are what makes the Ranch. Thank you for loving our 4 legged babies as much as we do! Yes, and spring, i think is the prettiest time of the year with so many wild flowers! Getting away and back to what is REAL is what we are all about. so pleased that you will be back. YEEEHAAA!
