We had lunch here on our last day in St. Kitts and wised afterward that we had found the place sooner. There is something very special about an open air restaurant and bar on the beach overlooking the Caribbean which plays great music and has fantastic food and drinks. My kids took a swim while we waited for lunch to be cooked. There are not many better ways to spend an afternoon. Stop and visit if you are in St. Kitts.

Just got back from Reggae Beach Bar and Grill. Food was great, atmosphere was great too. We both had grilled lobster and it was very tasty. Cost was on par with the rest of the island food. It ain't cheap, but it is worth it!

Been going to the reggae beach bar since it first opened ( Gary the owner used to own Turtle Beach Bar which has now been taken upmarket as the Beach House by a large US developer) the concept is very much the same as Turtle Beach was ie keep it simple small menu (but with enough of a variety to suite most tastes) its laid back, but good. Sonia the Manageress is very helpfull ( & extremely efficient) Cockle Shell Bay itself is a good shallow bay and you can hire Masks ,Fins etc to Snorkel from the water sports next door along with Hobby Cats, kayaks ,Jet Skis along with the beach beds so there is enough to make a day of it. If you got Kids make sure you have the camera as they will love a picture of themselves with Wilbur (the Pig) hes huge but docile and loves kids.
Before you go look at the Port Zante web site it will tell you what days the cruise ships are in (November- March) and choose a day when there are preferable non or worst case only one other wise it can very brash & busy and the service level suffers.
Open every day (10-6pm) but only at night on a friday when its Lobster Night! (for that you need to book as alot of the locals go so it can be very busy and you want a table inside at night to avoid the sand flys biting your feet)
But the bottom line is its Good, Inexpensive, & worth the trip! try the Conch Chowder (its a meal in bowl) Enjoy your Day!
