“Awesome Breakfast!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

We eat breakfast here everytime we stay in Townsend. Awesome hash browns grated very fine and served brown and crispy! Country ham served the way it ought to be, a slab the size of your plate with two eggs any style and toast or biscuit:)YUM! My hubby always orders the Smoky Mountain Mash which is a huge biscuit split in two, each half covered in a sausage patty, egg, and sausage gravy...Omelets are huge and tasty! Very reasonable prices and friendly staff! Relax and enjoy! Ask for Sam or Mikey to wait on you (both nice ladies). The place to go first thing in the morning, you won't need to eat again till way up in the day.

“Never disappointed!!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Everytime we are in TN we try to get to the Riverstone. The staff is always super friendly and down to earth kinda folk. I will say this trip that the grilled chicken sandwhich was not as good as always - but I told them and I am sure if there was a problem it will be fixed. I also overheard a lady from LA say that she eats catfish all over the country and theirs is the best ever.

“What's going on at the Riverstone?”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

In the past, the Riverstone has been our favorite place to eat during our trips to Townsend. However, our last two visits have been rather disappointing since the change in ownership. Although the food is still good, the service has been lacking. We stopped in this past Saturday night, and after waiting a good 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge we were waiting to be seated, someone cleared off a dirty table and seated us. The staff seemed very disorganized and stressed. Other customers were having similar issues with seating and paying for their meals. After our order was placed, our waitress disappeared, and a new one came out and let us know she was gone, and our order was, too. We then had to reorder our meal. They did have a nice bluegrass band, and we weren't in a hurry, so it was fine, but it sure looks like they need a manager over there. Our visit in September was rather similar. I don't believe we will return, which is pretty sad!
