“End of Summer fling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This property was very, very, very, clean and fresh. All of the furnishings were new, or at least appeared new.Our room was on the second floor above the pool. The pool was inviting but we were too busy to swim. It looked clean. Parking was not very close to our room. Their breakfast was very good and filling. It was advertised hot but was not very. Didn't see a microwave to warm anything either.
Property is very close to Cades Cove and the East Foothills Parkway. Great for early morning wildlife in the cove and sunsets from the parkway.

Room Tip: Book a mountain view room. The view is worth asking for one.

Great place to stay if you want a quick getaway at a great price. Wonderful view of the mountains. Breakfast could use a little upgrade. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very little noise, even though a few motorcycle enthusiast were there s well.

Relatively inexpensive, comfortable lodging after a 14 hour drive from Connecticut. Comfortable beds, clean room and bath, access to ice for a little bourbon nightcap and sufficient cable channels to find a movie we liked. Then early breakfast (just fine but not really good fruit) and off toe Cades Cove (20 minute drive).

Room Tip: You might ask for an upper level room if you want more privacy. But you then have to lug your stuff...

This is a wonderful place to stay. Close to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Cade's Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and other areas. They are biker friendly which is a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean hotel nice breakfast nice staff great stay. Rocking chairs to relax outside in and excellent chocolate chip cookies when arrived. Always stay here when in Townsend just a great hotel. Only downside just a little pricey compared to hotels in Pigeon Forge.

This hotel is a great location for exploring the Smoky Mountain National Park and the Slaying the Tail of the Dragon. It is only 12 miles or so from Cades Cove and the western entrance to the park and 20 miles from the north end of the Dragon. Townsend is a quite and peaceful escape from Gatlinburg a Pigeon Forge. The Hotel is biker friendly and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

We found the Best Western to be the best value and service. We were extremely happy with the level of service, the cleanliness of the facility and pool, and the quality of the FREE breakfast. All staff members were exceptionally friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make us feel at home.
